The Kamei Heck Decor is back — now in its final version. 🔥

For those who haven’t seen it before: the Kamei Heck Decor is a period-style rear sticker set for the Golf MK2. It visually connects the rear lights, gives the back of the car a wider appearance, and adds that unmistakable old-school 80s tuning look.

You may have seen our previous installation reel. At that time, we were still using an early sample of our replica.

Since then, we’ve improved the finish. The final version has richer, more vibrant colors and a glossier surface, much closer to the look we wanted to achieve.

In this video, we’re installing the actual production version — this is the version customers will receive when ordering from us.

New room unlocked!
This section of the building is the oldest. What dates back to around 1930. It was filled with junk and old fire wood. The fire wood probably was there since 1930 aswell. Because it was completely rotten. Any chunk we grabbed turned into dust. And we found allot of different animals that probably lived there for multiple generations.
We cleaned the entire room and painted the walls and ceilings. It got a bit of a landlord special, but this room is only used for storage and next year we need to replace the ceiling anyway.

For now we are super happy with the extra space. Now we can move on to the next big room. Stay tuned!

We worked hard behind the scenes on the rear wall. All the walls in the main room are now painted. This is a huge milestone. It’s was finally time to put our furniture in there. We created a small kitchen and hang out area for the breaks.
Now we can work on the beams and ceiling. And later we move on to the other rooms of the building.

HQ renovation part 5.

This week we fixed the roof.

Every tile was checked by hand, more than 400 tiles were added, holes were patched, and the complete center ridge of the roof was replaced with fresh cement.

Hopefully this means no more water leaks, because before this even sunlight was coming through in some places.

Now it’s time to focus on fixing and selling some cars, so we can make space and budget for the next renovation steps.

HQ renovation part 4.

We fixed the side walls and sprayed them white with an airless paint sprayer instead of rollers. That made the job way faster.

Now both side walls are done, and we can finally continue with the roof.
