Monterey Car Week file: car spots in Carmel. On a morning run at 0645 hrs the (Dutch)designed new BMW Alpina coupé was being photographed with Police to keep watch.

Then a super nice special colour Porsche 964 got our attention. Unfortunately an automatic.

At Casa Dk we saw a nice pair of ultra rare Porsche GT1’s.

Only place where you park your supercar next to the trash can.

A classic 60 year old Alfa Duetto designed by is just lovely.

Nobody (well a Countach and my BMW ) fuelled up in Carmel as it is just a little more expensive..

Modern rarities at Spanish Bay.

Mesmerizing design, as only the Italians can create cars this beautiful. Touring Superleggera did a truly fantastic job on the Aston Martin DB4 Series V.

The original ‘Fiesta Red’ paintwork is particularly striking in this setting. This Aston Martin DB4 Series V still retains its original matching-numbers ‘Special Series’ Vantage engine. With larger valves, a higher compression ratio and three SU carburettors, this car produces 266 bhp at 5,700 rpm — an increase of 26 bhp over the standard engine.

The current owner purchased the car 17 years ago. The bodywork was repainted in the Netherlands by one of the country’s finest paint shops, while the interior was re-trimmed to an exceptionally high standard. After 17 years, this Aston Martin, fitted with wide Borrani wheels and optional electric windows, is now ready for its next owner.

Pebble Beach never stops amazing you.

So many cars come by that you have never seen or even heard of, you simply don’t know where to stop filming. This Hispano-Suiza H6B Dubonnet Xenia is a one-off luxury car, built on the chassis of a Hispano-Suiza H6B for French pilot and racing driver André Dubonnet in 1938. Although it is based on an H6B, it uses the larger, more powerful engine from the H6C, features an entirely new suspension system designed by Dubonnet and a body built by coachbuilder Saoutchik.

The very early 05:30 “Dawn Patrol” gives you a fresh morning to watch the cars flowing across the grounds. A special moment and thanks to , we get strong coffee, donuts and Dawn Patrol caps to enjoy.

The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance never fails to amaze. So many extraordinary cars gathered in one place, it can almost be too much to take in.

A total of 218 cars entered this year’s Concours d’Elegance: 185 American entries and 33 international entries representing 14 countries. The field was filled with exceptional automobiles, including Miuras, several Ferrari 250s, Cisitalias, and OSCAs.

Among the absolute highlights of this year’s event were the 1938 Delahaye 165 Figoni et Falaschi Cabriolet, a 1955 Ferrari 375 MM Pinin Farina Berlinetta, a 1954 Ferrari 375 America Vignale Cabriolet and of course the Best of Show: the 1935 Duesenberg SSJ Special Speedster.

With Monterey Car Week now coming to a close, we’ll be featuring some of the event’s highlights over the coming days!

There’s a reason the Ferrari 308 GTB is still admired nearly 50 years after its debut. Introduced in the mid-1970s, it combined timeless Pininfarina styling with a naturally aspirated V8 that still sounds just as special today. This particular example dates back to 1977, a time when driving was mechanical with old school carburetors.

Turn the volume up and enjoy this raw Ferrari sound!

Summer: a time to spend with family and friends. Ideally in the sunshine, by the sea or in the hotter inlands.

Alex took the opportunity to see his old friend René. René has been living in Italy for several years now and keeps his original Dutch supplied Austin-Healey 100 there. A good reason for Alex to pay him a visit in his ex Amsterdam Motor show 1956 Austin-Healey 100 which is looked after by Le Classiche

What followed was a short road trip taking in some of the highlights of the region, along with a beautiful lunch spot and even a visit to a local chapel.

Get out and drive!

Enjoy the summer and your holidays!

The Ferrari 512 BBi is one of those cars from the 1980s that you instantly recognize. Pininfarina kept up well with the times and succeeded in delivering a beautiful car for Ferrari. The 512 BBi is already a very special car, with its powerful 4.9-litre flat-12 engine producing 340 bhp. This particular 512 BBi is even more special.

After 42 years, this car has covered just 32,000 km. It still comes with its original service book, has first paint (well mostly) and all original leather interior. A nice file with invoices and a most recent service at the Ferrari dealer. Remarkably even the Ferrari text on the original, and not repainted, wheels is still there. It was originally been delivered by Charles Pozzi in Paris it then spent time in Belgium and now the Netherlands, the car is ready for its next owner. The car was almost always maintained at official Ferrari dealerships.
