Worldcup weekend was crazy!

First training and race were great on the new suspension setup, but unfortunately we had a left rear puncture during the first race, so did not score any points…

The best race we had was in the rain staying ahead of most of the lefthanders. Rik Maessen was to fast for us, but when he made a little mistake or got caught with traffic we could keep up, trying to battle for the win. We finished 2nd overall which was our best result so far, but got a 2 place penalty, because I did not hear race control when they told me to switch positions with someone during the starting procedure…

Because of the good results 2nd race and final we won event nr 1

2nd event we struggled a lot on tires, loooooaaaads of understeer. Tried to fix that with other tires, but that made it 10 times worse. Because of a huge vibration in the front left tire, the car would not turn at all.

Than less than an hour before the final, we discovered a cracked brake rotor, but with the help of Henk Hansen and Marcel we got it fixed in time, and with a set of good tires we were flying again, passing a lot of cars, and snatching the event win by just 1 point!

Another big help was that now finally our radio problems seem sorted, and for once I had a spotter in my ears for the full race, making it able for me to move back up into the racing line in corners instead of waiting until the straights after an overtake which saves a lot of speed.

Small crew this weekend, but big results! Great team effort again!

What an eventful day. First heat, we struggled on tires. And the second was even worse. Had a cracked brake rotor. But it all came together in the finals, and the car was flying again.
We stole victory by just 1 point🏆💪🏻

Big thanks to the best team for fighting through the struggle and putting the car in victory lane!

Day 2, finals from yesterdays heat races, in the rain, on slicks, probably my best race in this series so far! P2 overal and P1 in class 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Unfortunately, because my radio was not working and i did not hear race controls instructions I received a two place penalty.... never the less still enough points to come out on top in first 3 heats 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Car was flying with the new suspension setup!
Unfortunately blew a tire in race one, but got back strong in race 2 with P1 in class and 4th overall💪🏻

Wederom een internationaal deelnemersveld voor het 4e en 5e NK V8 Oval Series 2026 tijdens het World Cup weekend Raceway Venray, wij zijn er klaar voor!

Helaas zijn Jeroen Hermans en HJ Hummen #99 nog verhinderd en missen we ook nog de Engelse rijders van RCD, anders zitten we over de 20 auto’s. 💪 Hoe gaaf zou het zijn om ook hun erbij te hebben!
