The Spyker C8 Preliator XXV Coupé has been shortlisted for Bespoke Car of the Year at the 2026 International Historic Motoring Awards, presented by Lockton in partnership with Octane magazine.

Carrying forward a coachbuilding tradition that began in the Netherlands in 1880, the Spyker C8 Preliator XXV Coupé is meticulously handcrafted over approximately 2,100 hours. Its aluminium body is shaped panel by panel, while its distinctive fin tail pays homage to the 1919 Spyker C1 Aerocoque. Production is limited to just 25 examples, each individually commissioned by its owner.

To see a new Spyker recognised among the most respected names in historic motoring is an honour, and one that belongs to the craftsmen, partners and suppliers whose dedication and expertise brought this extraordinary car to life.

Aerospace engineering, down to the millimeter.

Originally developed for spacecraft and aviation structures, the iso-grid pattern uses interlocking triangles to reduce weight without ever compromising on strength.

On the Spyker C8 Preliator XXV Coupé, this principle becomes pure design language, from the intricate 3D-printed front grille and air inlets to the pedals, engine covers, and interior quilting.

Function turned into art.

36 days. 30,000 kilometers. One world record.

In the winter of 1920, the very first Spyker C4, aptly named ‘Tenax’ (Latin for tenacious), set out on an endurance run between Nijmegen and Sittard in the Netherlands.

Day and night, through freezing conditions, the C4 drove non-stop for 36 consecutive days to prove its unmatched reliability, claiming the world endurance record previously held by Rolls-Royce.

The cockpit of the Spyker C8 Preliator XXV Coupé is where aviation heritage meets bespoke craftsmanship.

From the turned aluminium dashboard to the exposed manual gear linkage and toggle switches, every surface is designed to engage the senses before the engine even turns over.

As chassis number 270 features the exquisite Rose Gold bright ware option, its interior bright ware is finished in Rose Gold as well. High-gloss polished stainless steel and turned aluminium bright ware come as standard.

In 1907, a Spyker 14/18 HP took on the Peking to Paris raid, covering 15,000 kilometres across largely uncharted terrain.

Driven by Charles Goddard and supported by Louis Vuitton, it marked one of the earliest recorded examples of sports sponsorship. Finishing in second place, the car proved the exceptional endurance of Dutch engineering.

That historic partnership later inspired bespoke Louis Vuitton luggage sets tailored specifically for modern Spyker models, continuing a shared story of craftsmanship and travel.
