Since I couldn't find any good '51–'52 body bumpers, I decided to make my own using all the information I could gather. I obtained an old, original set from a customer and used the dimensions from a set I had restored previously. I also studied numerous period-correct photos to get the details right. The first batch of bumpers has been produced, and I’ve installed the first one on this "4-digit" model. I am extremely pleased with the result.

Working on a series of bumpers for the Porsche 356-body bumper cars.

I am proud to be part of the build of the Thornley Kelham Porsche 356 European SL.
I fabricated the complete aluminum outer bodywork for the first two cars, and for the first car, I traveled to England to mount it onto the chassis alongside their fantastic team.

There are some hammers I use only very occasionally. Like this very old forged one. It’s perfect for creating these 356 body bumpers.

Using a Hammer Head as a Punch. Works very well, and got several in my Tool Cart.

What I enjoy most is hammering and wheeling my own sheet metal parts. Especially when the reflection lines of the newly made front fender are just right.

Today I sanded and polished the rusted anvil stakes I bought during my holiday in France. A nice addition to the collection.
