Solar Team Eindhoven builds the car of the future, all powered by the sun. Solar Team Eindhoven will participate in the World Solar Challenge every two years.

This is THE challenge for solar mobility pioneers. Our latest model is Stella Vie, a solar powered family car for 5 persons. It is the most efficient family car ever built. In October we will defend our world title in Australia. Last year, Solar Team Eindhoven designed ‘Stella Lux’, the erergy positive family car, and won the Cruiser Class of the World Solar Challenge 2015. Our cars are built by a

team consisting of 21 top students of the Eindhoven University of Technology. Winning the World Solar Challenge is one of the goals, but not our main goal: our mission is to contribute to a sustainable future. We want to realize an innovative car which is ready for the market of tomorrow.

Last week we hosted our Partner Production Day, and it was one to remember.

We kicked things off with a presentation covering our progress so far and what the exciting months ahead have in store.

But the real highlight? Our partners got their first glimpse of Stella Juva. Seeing their reactions made all the work this year worth it.⚡

The day wrapped up with a networking drink where our partners connected with each other, exchanged ideas, and shared their vision for Stella Juva.☀️

Meet Stella Juva☀️

World's first solar-powered ambulance to deliver healthcare anywhere in the world.

The solar panels on the roof generate sufficient energy not only for driving, but also for powering medical equipment, making medical care possible anywhere in the world. Stella Juva offers a more sustainable and practical solution for delivering healthcare anywhere in the world, even in the most remote places :desert: where no fossil fuels or electricity grids are available.

Stella Juva will prove that mobility is more than just transportation, as a vehicle can also help solve important social problems. It can demonstrate that the transition to a more sustainable future in mobility and energy can happen faster and that there are new opportunities to improve access to healthcare.

We are excited to share that on Tuesday the 9th of December at 17:26 we will officially unveil our newest concept along with the name of our vehicle.

This milestone follows an extensive period of development, research and creative collaboration within our team, and we are proud to be moving into this next chapter.

We look forward to revealing what we have been working on and to taking you along with us as we step into the future.

We are deep in the design phase! ⚙️ Our engineers are setting requirements, designing, modelling and calculating every detail. All in close collaboration with alumni, university experts and professionals from our partner network. Deadlines are tight, but the team tackles them with energy and enthusiasm! 💪

🌟Team ’26 is officially on the move!🌟

This September, Solar Team Eindhoven kicked off a brand-new team with twenty ambitious students. After becoming four-time world champions in Australia, completing a solar-powered road trip across Europe, and even conquering the Sahara Desert in our solar off-roader, we are ready to push boundaries once again.

Over the coming year we will design and build an innovative, energy-efficient solar-powered vehicle, continuing our mission to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable future in both mobility and energy.

The adventure starts now, join the ride with us in the coming year! 👀

The world’s first solar off-road car participating in a road tour! 🚗 Stella Terra participated in a beautiful drive through the Betuwe in the Netherlands, surrounded by old-timers, sports cars and other unique vehicles. All powered by the sun.☀️

That is the advantage of having a licence plate on Stella Terra: it demonstrates that the vehicle is not merely a prototype. A solar-powered off-road vehicle like this is permitted and feasible within current regulations.📖 Even more importantly, the licence plate makes it possible to take part in road tours and to inspire many people along the way.💡

On 13 March, we travelled with Stella Terra to Switzerland to the EPFL Sustainable Innovation Challenge. Showing our project and meeting up with sustainability experts and other student teams to exchange our visions on sustainability and help each other! 🌱
We have learned a lot and it was exciting to show Stella Terra, sharing knowledge and our story to the Swiss and international audience.
