☀️ Driving in extreme heat? Don’t forget your brakes.

High temperatures can put extra stress on your braking system. Worn brakes can heat up faster, increasing the risk of reduced braking performance and brake fade.

Before heading out in your classic car, make sure your brakes are in good condition and ready for the heat!

Stay safe during the heat 🔥

At C&C Parts, every component is manufactured and finished with attention to detail, because precision matters!

In this step of the production process, the brake lining is being carefully cut to the exact dimensions using a precision bandsaw. Accurate machining is essential to ensure a perfect fit and reliable performance in its final application.

Q: Which of these brake components is most likely to seize after a classic car has been stored for a long time?
👇.
B. The Caliper Pistons

When a vehicle sits unused for a long period, moisture can find its way into the braking system. This can cause corrosion to form on the brake caliper piston, making it stick or seize. A seized piston may lead to uneven brake wear, reduced braking performance, or even a dragging brake.

That's why it's important to inspect the braking system before putting a classic car back on the road after long-term storage!

Edit: It's a Siata and NOT a Fiat Siata!
🏁 We're proud to contribute to the Mille Miglia 2026.

Over the past few weeks, we have restored various brake components for several participating vehicles. From relined brake shoes and wheel cylinders to complete repair kits, we're honoured to play a small part in keeping these historic cars on the road.

One of these cars is a Siata driven by former Formula 1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella.

Good luck to all teams taking part in this year's event!
