B. The Caliper Pistons

When a vehicle sits unused for a long period, moisture can find its way into the braking system. This can cause corrosion to form on the brake caliper piston, making it stick or seize. A seized piston may lead to uneven brake wear, reduced braking performance, or even a dragging brake.

That's why it's important to inspect the braking system before putting a classic car back on the road after long-term storage!

🏁 We're proud to contribute to the Mille Miglia 2026.

Over the past few weeks, we have restored various brake components for several participating vehicles. From relined brake shoes and wheel cylinders to complete repair kits, we're honoured to play a small part in keeping these historic cars on the road.

One of these cars is a Siata driven by former Formula 1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella.
