Good morning, when you buy a foreign used car, that was thoroughly inspected and certified okay, please don't listen to anybody that tells you to pull the thermostat and change your oil grade because of our weather, the person has no good intentions for you and you car.

Car manufacturers test engines to the extremes you can never imagine, our weather is not close to those extremes. You're doing yourself a disservice by taking out anything or going against manufacturers recommendations. Don't be gullible be

Hey there!! That slight vibration you feel when accelerating from stop that gets better as your speed increases could be as a result of a worn out inner CV joint. (Inner cup shaft).
The inner CV joint translate power from the transmission/gear to the wheels.

When its worn out and has some clearance in it, power is not fully transmitted, the gap cause vibrations as the vehicle moves.

The number one cause of a worn CV joint is a torn rubber boot(cover)

The rubber boot does the job of keeping lubricating grease in position within the inner cup, a torn boot means the grease fall out causing less or no lubrication, allowing for dirt and moisture to get into the cup and ruin the bearing in it.

It is best the boot are checked regularly during oil changes, if it's not replaced quickly it could cause an expensive repair of changing the drive complete shaft.
