Driving with bad spark plugs could lead to poor fuel economy, poor engine performance, engine misfires, engine not starting or even worse, damage to other engine components?
Spark plugs, like most car parts, suffer from wear when used for a long period of time. You’re likely to notice oil, fuel or carbon- buildup when you inspect bad or faulty spark plugs.
Some spark plugs can last for over 50,000 miles but it’s best to change them immediately if you notice any of these signs:
1️⃣ Engine runs rough or vibrates when idling
2️⃣ You experience frequent engine misfires
3️⃣ Lack of acceleration or car jerks when accelerating
4️⃣ You experience unusually high fuel consumption
