🌍 Our ROA conference in Namibia was an absolute blast! It was an incredible opportunity for us to come together, connect, and embrace the challenges we all face in our respective countries.

We had some amazing discussions and strategic brainstorming sessions to kickstart the new financial year on a high note!

Good news!😀😃😄
The Namibian Government is building a hostel for Satotwa Primary School in Kavango West! In the meantime, a tent camp with beds has been erected as temporary sleeping quarters. Access to clean drinking water has been arranged so that the children do not have to walk a kilometre to fetch it. One extra teacher has been appointed and a pre-primary class added. Omatemba donated N$10 000 worth of groceries and will continue to support the school.

Together with CIC PTY LTD, we did a food run for Satotwa Junior Primary School, based in Kavango West, close to Rundu. CIC was so kind to donate food, and Imperial Logistics was so kind to transport the goods to Rundu, where Mr Ihambo, the headmaster of Satotwa, received the food.

This donation will go a long way in supporting the hostel feeding scheme at the school.

Here are some of the most crucial points that fleet managers must keep in mind to keep their fleets running smoothly in 2022 and beyond:

1️⃣ EFFECTIVE DATA COLLECTION AND PROTECTION
It is vital that fleet managers organise all of their data, data either already in your business database, or being collected on a daily basis, to ensure that systems are in place to legally store and protect information as failure to do so will have legal repercussions and can result in customers losing trust in your business.

2️⃣ EVOLUTION OF CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS
Customers are much more educated and aware of quality control throughout their ‘buyer journey’ and they will not let you get away with faults in the chain.

3️⃣ HR MATTERS
A very big trend that is likely to keep growing is holding companies accountable for how their staff are treated. The good news is that the public is very logical when it comes to this: they don’t expect companies to keep forgiving poor performance, but they do expect companies to at least give their staff the opportunities to upskill and improve in order to grow with the company.

4️⃣ PLANET CONSCIOUS
Every business, but specifically fleet operations, need to start putting measures in place to reduce their carbon footprint. Your fleet’s carbon footprint is directly linked to fuel consumption, so reducing fuel consumption will already have a positive effect on your environmental impact (as well as your fleet expenses).
