The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the management and distribution of automotive parts and inventory within the organization.
This role focuses on maintaining a well-organized inventory system, ensuring optimal stock levels, and providing exceptional support to both internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
โ๏ธ Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of parts while minimizing excess stock.
โ๏ธ Coordinate with suppliers to order parts, negotiate terms, and evaluate supplier performance.
โ๏ธ Lead and mentor the parts team, providing training and support to enhance their performance and product knowledge.
โ๏ธ Facilitate efficient parts sales processes, assisting internal technicians and external customers with inquiries and order fulfillment.
โ๏ธ Implement inventory management software and best practices to streamline operations and reduce discrepancies.
โ๏ธ Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for improved pricing and customer satisfaction.
โ๏ธ Prepare regular reports on inventory status, sales performance, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
โ๏ธ Proven track record in parts management or a related field within the automotive industry.
โ๏ธ Strong knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and inventory management practices.
โ๏ธ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
โ๏ธ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with team members and clients.
โ๏ธ Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
โ๏ธ Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights for decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
โ๏ธ Experience in a management role within an automotive parts department.
โ๏ธ Certification in inventory management or a related field would be advantageous.
โ๏ธ Familiarity with automotive repair processes to better understand customer needs.
As this is a senior position, the successful applicant should have the ability to direct the entire Parts operation with limited input from top management.
