ENGINE REBUILD IN PROGRESS

We’ve started a full engine rebuilding process, carefully tailored according to our customer’s exact specifications and performance requirements. Every component will be inspected, measured, and rebuilt with precision to ensure reliability, power, and long-term durability.

From bottom-end strengthening to top-end performance tuning, this build will reflect the perfect balance between classic character and modern performance expectations.

Another Classic Mini has been handcrafted restored by Joey Mini Garage.

The restoration journey continues at Joey Mini Garage.

We’ve now completed the full dismantling of Kim & Richards’ Classic Mini from interior to exterior, including the engine, front subframe, and rear subframe.

The bodyshell is now fully stripped to bare condition, giving us a clear, honest view of its true state and allowing for a thorough inspection before moving into the bodywork phase.

•Body now naked and ready for full condition assessment
•Engine, front & rear subframes fully removed
•Interior and exterior completely dismantled
•All parts carefully sorted, labelled, and tagged for accuracy during reassembly

This is a crucial stage in any proper restoration with no shortcuts, just precision and respect for the car’s heritage.

Mr. Danish Gill dropped by today to personally inspect his Classic Mini bodyshell before we proceed to the next major stage of the restoration.

This visit marks an important milestone, as the car will soon undergo full bare metal preparation followed by spray painting. Every detail was carefully reviewed to ensure alignment with the restoration plan and to maintain the originality and quality this Classic Mini deserves.

MINI ROVER JAPAN: FULL RESTORATION READY FOR 500KM TEST DRIVE

Another full restoration completed at Joey Mini Garage, this Mini Rover Japan has been rebuilt from the ground up body, engine, and drivetrain all renewed to factory and performance spec.

Highlights of the build:

•Fully restored bodyshell with original Rover Japan spec finishing
•Complete engine rebuild with new bearings, pistons, seals etc
•Gearbox overhauled with new layshaft, bearing, etc and fine-tuned for smooth shifting
•Brand new bushings, and subframes mechanical for precision handling
•Full electrical rewiring and restored interior trim to OEM condition

Now ready for the 500KM endurance test drive phase, where every system is tested under real road conditions before final tuning and delivery.
