Milltek’s catback exhaust for the Arteon is the perfect choice. Not too loud, but enough to liven up your ride. Keeping your family on long journeys comfortable while not being too boring of a drive. No drone, no complaints. Just a fun ride for the whole family.

Usually the Arteon system comes with downturn tips to fit the stock diffuser, but this car wanted to show off it’s Milltek system with it’s aftermarket diffuser so we’ve customised the piping to fit the Milltek polished tips to give this car a more aggressive aesthetic.

Drop-in or intake kit?

Usually the most common step in upgrading a car is the air intake. But which should you go for? A direct replacement drop-in filter, or a full intake kit?

If you’re looking to just make your car run smoother, a drop-in filter will do just fine. But if you want to make more power, and intake kit is the way to go. A drop-in filter helps increase the amount of air the car can take in. Whereas an intake kit, reduces restrictions along the whole intake system and smoothens out the airflow. This in turn, allows the engine to produce more power.

This MK7.5 R, decided to upgrade the intake kit using Ramair’s oversized intake. A larger filter compared to the usual intake kit. Allowing even more air and even less restriction. A great option for those looking to maximize their potential for more power.

Bring The Noise!

Here’s a little clip of the Milltek catback on the Golf GTi MK8 Sepang Edition. Louder, meaner, and a whole lot more fun to drive with.

Our local MK8s do not come with an OPF. Whereas the new MK8.5 does. Meaning, if you have the OPF version, your car wouldn’t be as loud unless you upgrade to a catless downpipe and do a stage 2 tune.

Should you tune?

A lot of people wonder why they should tune their car. Especially when it’s not heavily modded. So, should you tune your car? Let’s get into it...

There are many types of tunes for your car. It doesn’t just mean pushing for power. It can be about reliability and driveability. Factory tunes are done so that the car would run without any issues. But is it optimal? Not really. Most cars have a general tune from factory. Meaning, there are a lot of other factors which could affect how the car runs. Like climate, elevation, fuel grade, and so on. Even though the engines are the same, it doesn’t mean they run the same.

Tuning your car ensures that it runs smoothly and properly according to your own car’s condition, fuel grade and the climate you’re in. This increases the reliability and longevity of your engine. Keeping you on the road for longer. So tuning your car even if it hasn’t been modded much, is still beneficial to the maintenance of your car.
