Öhlins coilovers are expensive. This Subaru owner must be rich then but he is also very smart because he is investing in aerospace-grade materials, precision engineering and a long motorsport heritage.

From 29 June 2026 onwards, you can drop of your vehicle and travel to your next destination with the new LRT3 at Station Kerjaya at Persiaran Kerjaya.

Prime Minister Anwar announced that the LRT3 will be free for one month until 31 July 2026.

We hope this new opening of LRT3 will benefit our customers in the future.

We did a quick survey for no reason to check out what are the popular tyres on our Subaru XV, Forester and Impreza customers. Our of the 10 cars we've surveyed on, we found out the following;

- Yokohama BlueEarth XT
- Continental Max Contact 7
- Michelin PS4
- Yokohama Advan Sport

These tyres top the list for everyday drivers in our workshop. We can assumed these are best value, deliver confidence on both dry and wet condition.

Kondo Engineering is now officially available at SBR Technic. In the last few months, we have been working on closing ties with Kondo Engineering, Japan.

Kondo Engineering, operating under the brand name Takumi Project, is a boutique tuning house based in Okayama, Japan, dedicated to precision aero and carbon-fiber components, especially tailored for Subaru models such as WRX/STI, BRZ and Levorg.

Subaru Forester SJ (2012 - 2018) and SK (2018 - Current)

Do you owned one? Even though these are regarded as one of the most reliable and popular Subaru Forester, it still has a few known issues that many do not know. The most notable are excessive oil consumption due to poor piston ring design and oil leaks from cam covers.

1) The cam cover/timing cover oil leaks is a simple fix. Most owners would have had them replaced by 60k-100k kms but the leaks will return and will require to reseal again. So if your Forester FB20 is still running past 150k - get them check!

2) The notable oil consumption can be resolved with two methods - using the right engine oil but will require experiments. Not all oil, different viscosity is made equal. The other long term method is to rebuilt the engine with an updated piston ring parts.

3) Carbon built-up on the intake valves - if you feel your engine hesitating, bad fuel consumption and rough idles. It is time that we look into a few components and start cleaning them!

4) CVT issues in almost inevitable but is it true? You must use the correct CVT transmission fluid and you must change with the right method. We've seen how a completely good CVT was damaged due to negligence by inexperience mechanic.

5) Last but not least, owners must be responsible to conduct visual check such as coolant, aircon, brakes, tyres, suspension and the AWD system. Remember to never towed the car with two wheels rolling on the ground! Always request for a flat bed carrier!
