Toyota Alphard | Headlight Cooling Fan Replacement

Another Alphard dropped by for a faulty headlight cooling fan replacement.

Toyota's LED headlight system actively monitors the cooling fan's RPM as part of its heat management system. As the fan wears over time, its RPM gradually drops. Once the system detects that the fan speed is below the safe operating range, it triggers a warning and puts the headlight into limp mode, reducing the light output to protect the LED module from overheating.

A small cooling fan plays a big role in keeping your headlights performing safely and reliably. If you notice a headlight warning or reduced brightness, don't ignore it—it could be the cooling fan reaching the end of its service life.
