It has been a while since we last post our cars. Unfortunately our business was officially closed due to high restoration cost and high operational cost.

However, I have a personal "FULLY RESTORED" to "PERFECT" which cost RM 25k and it is probably the best Jaguar S-Type in Malaysia.

The car is completely free from scratches, nothing is broken or crack, the interior and exterior is almost like new. The engine and gearbox are also running perfectly. Original paint and everything remain fully original and functional. The mileage is genuine140,000 km (not miles). If you ask, what is the problem of the car? I would have nothing to tell you. Even the sunroof is working perfectly without any leakage at all.

The car has just reached 25 years olds and it is eligible for classic car road tax. (Around RM 500 per year)

After owning it personally for 2 years, just feel to do up another classic car and this is probably the best buy as it was initially not restored meant for business but personal collection.

*** SEDIKIT INFORMASI BERTENTANG "MASTERPIECE" W124

Kami sedar bahawa kebanyakan orang tidak tahu apa itu "MASTERPIECE" yang sebenarnya, kadang kala ia amat keliru kepada orang atau pembeli yang tidak mempunyai maklumat bertentang dengan apa itu "MASTERPIECE" dan kami juga mengalami penjual (Seller) pun tidak pasti dan cuma gunakan perkataan "MASTERPIECE".

Nilai "MASTERPIECE" yang genuine semakin naik setiap tahun disebabkan ia cuma hanya 1000 unit (E280) sahaja.
"MASTERPIECE" ini memang dinampak pada Kereta Mercedes W124 tetapi ia bukan cuma satu logo yang ditampal pada boot dan sentiasa ramai rasa W124 itu Masterpiece.

*** SEDIKIT SEJARAH MERCEDES BENZ W124 ***

Mercedes W124 (Sedan), produksi bermula pada tahun 1984 sehingga tahun 1995. Antara W124, ia ada Sedan, Wagon dan Coupe. Model yang biasa dijumpa di Malaysia adalah 200E, 230E, 260E dan 300E (jarang dijumpa) yang enjinnya dikenali sebagai "Black Engine"(M102 dan M103).

Ramai yang tidak tahu bahawa pada hujung tahun 1992 sehingga 1993, sebahagian kecil daripada W124 telah diganti dengan enjin yang baru, digelar sebagai enjin putih "White Engine" atau enjin merah "Red Engine" (M111 dan M104) dengan tag 200E, 220E dan 280E (bahagian luaran dan dalaman masih dikekalkan seperti versi enjin hitam, yg berbeza ialah airbag steering dan dual electric adjustable side mirror telah menjadi ciri-ciri standard bagi versi ini) sebelum kemunculan “E-class” dengan huruf “E” di hadapan nombor (E200, E220 dan E280)

Pada tahun 1994, Mercedes memperkenalkan "Facelift" model, dan juga dikenali sebagai E200, E220 dan E280 (Yang E itu dipindah ke depan) dan juga menggunakan enjin "Multivalve" yang kebiasaan dikenali sebagai "Red Engine" or "White Engine" yang dinyatakan diatas.

*** W124 MASTERPIECE ***

Jumlah 2.5 juta biji diproduksi seluruh dunia dan produksi pemasangan W124 ini selain daripada Germany, Europe, cuma ada 3 negara lain yang dilantik oleh Mercedes untuk pemasangan tempatan (CKD). Antara 3 negara-negara itu adalah Africa, Mexico dan MALAYSIA. (Kebanggan Malaysia). Selepas itu, negara lain seperti India bermula pemasangan tempatan daripada tahun 1995-1997.

Negara cinta kita, MALAYSIA adalah salah satu pemasangan tempatan untuk W124 dan produksinya diakhiri pada tahun 1995 disebabkan generasi yang baru, W210 (Mata Belalang) yang dilancarkan pada tahun 1996.

Untuk meraikan kejayaan pemasangan tempatan dan penjualan yang sangat baik di Malaysia, Mercedes bersetuju untuk merasmikan 3000 biji W124 sebagai "MASTERPIECE" sebagai lambang pencapaian berjaya dan kebanggaan orang Malaysia. Jadi, pada hujung tahun 1995, Mercedes Malaysia menawarkan seperti berikut

E200 Masterpiece - 1000 unit terakhir
E220 Masterpiece - 1000 unit terakhir
E280 Masterpiece - 1000 unit terakhir

Selepas 3000 biji ini dijual, produksi W124 di Malaysia akan diberhentikan (stop production) dengan berjaya. Antara 3 model "Masterpiece", Mercedes telah menambah sedikit fungsi dan aksesori sebagai kebezaan kepada W124 yang lain.

Tetapi, dalam tahun 1995, W124 juga turut ada produksi tetapi bukan semua W124 yang pemasangan tempatan mestilah "MASTERPIECE". Tetapi, "MASTERPIECE" yang asal mesti pemasangan tempatan dan mesti dibuat pada tahun 1995.

Ciri-ciri "Masterpiece" adalah seperti berikut

1. Lambang "Masterpiece" di belakang boot

2. Gear k**b "Masterpiece"

3. Side step "MERCEDES BENZ" dalam huruf besar

4. Tahun dibuat mesti 1995 (tetapi bukan semua 1995 adalah masterpiece) dan pemasangan tempatan (CKD)

5. Elektrik seat depan (Driver dan Passenger)

6. Elektrik sunblind belakang dengan "Control Switch" di panel tengah

7. Tempat duduk belakang, 2 sun visor bukan elektrik.

8. SRS airbag in depan passenger dan driver, tiada "glove box".

9. Rim original "MASTERPIECE" adalah 6 lubang (Kira pada luar, bukan lubang untuk screw)

10. Steering "Rose Wood" sebahagian

Walaupun perkataan "Masterpiece" ini tidak wujud dalam geran kereta, jadi ia tidak dapat disahkan oleh mana-mana pihak tetapi ia ada satu cara lain (walaupun bukan 100%), ia itu boleh buat VIN decoder dan semakan nombor chasis itu sama ada ia mempunyai elektrik seat, elektrik sunvisor dan 2 SRS airbag yang kereta lain cuba menyamar tidak akan wujud dalam VIN decoder.

Jika kita tengok iklan, kebanyakan penjual (seller) memang s**a mengguna perkataan "Masterpiece" dan ada yang juga s**a guna "Converted". Tetapi, pada pandangan kami, "MASTERPIECE" ini adalah sejumlah 3000 biji sahaja dan ia tidak seharusnya diterima sebagai "Convert" sebab ia bukan semacam "Convert ke facelift". Jadi "MASTERPIECE" memang terhad kepada 3000 biji ini sahaja.
Satu cara untuk mengesahkan "MASTERPIECE" adalah menggunkan VIN Decoder, dan masukkan nombor chasis dan ciri-ciri seperti elektrik seat, SRS airbag depan dan lain-lainnya.

Ramai orang telah keliru keatas "MASTERPIECE" ini dan telah beli dengan harga yang lebih tinggi tetapi ia bukan "MASTERPIECE" yang betul.

Antara jumlah 3000 biji "MASTERPIECE" yang dijual pada tahun 1995, ia telah berusia 28 tahun sekarang. Kebanyakan pun mungkin telah dileraikan, dipotong, kehilangan kemalangan dan sebagainya. Yang tertinggal sekarang, adalah sangat terhad dan setiap tahun kita boleh nampak nilai dan harga "MASTERPIECE" dinaikkan sebab ia hanya semakin terhad dan tidak ada "MASTERPIECE" yang baru akan wujud.

Selepas W124, Mercedes tidak lagi mengesahkan atau menggunakan perkataan "MASTERPIECE" pada genarasi-generasi sampai sekarang.

Jadi, "MASTERPIECE" yang benar "ORIGINAL MASTERPIECE GENUINE" adalah berbaloi disimpan dan dijaga dengan baik.
Pandangan diatas adalah persendirian sahaja dan mungkin tidak dipersetujui oleh semua orang, tetapi maklumat bertentang "MASTERPIECE" itu memang adalah satu fakta yang tidak boleh dicabar.

Mercedes W208 CLK is a 2 door coupe which under the family series of W210. The previous generation was known as the 230 CE / 300 CE which is now selling between RM 45k - RM 65k. The next model that will increase in value and price will be this CLK series.

We have spent the highest restoration cost among our cars which is RM 29k to make this beautiful CLK 230K into tip top conditon and it is a daily runner and also collectible.
