# # The Day the King of the Road Met the King of the Track
As a seasoned fishing angler, I know a thing or two about patience. I can sit on a boat for eight hours waiting for a snapper to glance at my bait. But nothing—and I mean nothing—prepared me for the day I had to sell my beloved Perodua Myvi to Gabriel Choo.
Now, for those who don’t know, Gabriel is a Formula 4 racer. He’s used to paddle shifters, carbon fiber cockpits, and G-forces that make your face look like it’s melting. My Myvi, on the other hand, is a car that considers a "high-speed maneuver" to be successfully merging into Mid Valley traffic without losing a side mirror.
When Gabriel arrived, I was worried. I thought he’d look at the 1.3L engine and ask where the rest of it was. I expected him to complain that the "King of the Road" didn't have a DRS wing or a pit crew to help with the paperwork.
Instead, he walked up with that same focused look he has on the starting grid. He didn't just check the tires; he looked at them like he was calculating the optimal tire degradation for a stint at Sepang. When he sat in the driver’s seat, I swear I heard the faint sound of a checkered flag waving in the distance.
"Gabriel," I said, holding out the keys. "It doesn't go 0 to 100 in three seconds. In fact, if you have the aircon on full blast, it might take a business week to get to 60."
He just laughed. "It's perfect," he said.
I realized then that selling a Myvi to an F4 racer is actually a public service. Usually, I’m the one trying to hook a big fish, but today, I actually caught a racing driver.
So, thank you, Gabriel Choo, for supporting me to get a myvi from me. I know it’s in good hands. Just a small reminder: the "Sport" mode on this car is just turning the radio up louder. Please don’t try to take the Kelana Jaya flyover at 180km/h—the Myvi can do it, but my insurance company definitely cannot.
Tight lines on the track, and may your "pit stops" at the mamak be faster than your rivals!

Pro-tip for Gabriel: If you ever find a random fish hook under the floor mat... that’s just a "performance upgrade" for extra grip! 🎣🏎️
