At Germantech Motorworks, we believe it’s the tiny little details that make all the difference, especially when it comes to performance cars like Porsche.

That’s why many SUV Coupés feature a subtle tear-off lip on top of the extendable rear wing.
Its job? To clean up airflow, reduce turbulence, improve downforce and improve high-speed stability, simply by controlling the direction of airflow at the very last edge of the wing.

Interestingly, this detail was left out on most EV models (with the exception of the GTS), most likely due to increased drag, which slightly reduces range.

Something we’d be more than happy to rectify. 😊

At Germantech Motorworks, we believe that if something can be repaired properly and safely, it deserves to be repaired — not simply replaced.

In this case, our client came to us with a failed rear spoiler drive. Replacing the entire spoiler transmission would have meant a very high factory cost. Instead, we invested the time in CAD development and produced the defective components in high-strength ABS, restoring full functionality at a fraction of the cost.

A solution that’s efficient, sustainable and engineered properly — a clear win-win in our books 🥳.
