Wet roads, rear-wheel drive, over 2 tonnes and plenty of tight corners… so what does this new electric CLA actually feel like when the road gets slippery?

Launch price RM274,888. The estimate in January was RM295,888.

The electric CLA also happens to be the only car in its class with a two-speed gearbox on the rear axle: short first for the traffic light, tall second for the highway.

We actually did it.
Ara Damansara → Gambang → Genting → back to Ara Damansara, all on one charge in the facelifted BYD Sealion 7.

The Genting climb pushed consumption up hard, but the downhill regen gave some of it back — and we still arrived with 19% battery and 120 km of range left.

But the real headline?

PART 1: BYD gave us one mission: Ara Damansara → Gambang → Ara Damansara on ONE full charge.

We left with 648 km of indicated range, reached Mentakab after 244 km with 79% battery left, and arrived at Mangala Resort still showing 62% and 404 km.

So… did the Sealion 7 actually make it all the way back without charging?
