31st Borneo Safari is less than a month away boys.. don't forget to check your vehicles thoroughly. This Baxters 100A alternator for Nissan Patrol stopped charging due to its corroded/damaged diode pack from all the hours soaked in mud. Replaced that and she's good as new.

Alloy steel 300M is similar to 4340, but with the addition of vanadium and higher silicon, carbon and molybdenum content, giving it even higher toughness, ductility and durability. It is very high strength steel widely used in aicraft landing gear and other parts lol...

𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘦 there are several variants of this product, even from the same manufacturer. We have seen chromoly (also good but not as strong) CVs from the 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙 but was sold at 300M prices so do your research properly or better still, come and see us anytime.

Many of the 4x4 rigs used today has been on (and off) the road for more than 20 years and when was the last time the axles received total look over and servicing - probably never. This is how we do it 😁

A very well deserved build for a fourbie that has traversed more than half way around the world 👍🏻

HAVING completed a 20,000km overland journey from Putrajaya to Paris in my Nissan Patrol GU Y61 ZD30 (I call it ZedDee) at the end of October 2019, I welcomed home my trusty 4WD at Port Klang in mid-December and wanted to give it a much-needed overhaul.

No matter how much you've prepped the fourby there are times when you just can't avoid slinging wrenches and impact drivers in the bush. We suspected that the wheel bearing was 50-50 so the TD boys took no chances - they combed through the whole rear axle assembly and replaced the iffy part.
