The cooling fan found on the 1st gen Ecoblue 2.0 isn’t an ordinary viscous fan (some called a clutch fan). This is an E-viscous fan, or electronic clutch fan, combining the traditional silicone fluid type & electronic actuator in one assembly unit, controlled by the PCM (ECU). Variable fan speed can be achieved by this method to ensure maximum efficiency.

Make sure its running well, don’t overheat your engine😏
