VACANCY – MASTER

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Master to join our Harbour / Standby Tug.

Sign On: 28 October 2026 at Kemaman Port
Vessel Type: Harbour ASD Tug / Standby Tug
Location: Terengganu High Seas
Trading Area: Near Coastal Trade Voyages
Flag: Malaysia
Rotation: 56 Days On / 28 Days Off
Nationality: Malaysian candidates preferred

*REQUIREMENTS*

- Valid COC Master of Less Than 500 GT – Near Coastal Trade Voyages
- Malaysian candidates are preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and relevant training
- Valid Seaman Book and Passport
- Valid Malaysia Marine Medical Certificate
- Relevant experience as Master on ASD Tug / Tugboat / Offshore Support Vessel
- Experience in harbour / offshore standby operations is an advantage
- Good knowledge of navigation, vessel manoeuvring and safe tugboat operations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- *MEDICALLY/BMI FIT* and able to meet company and client requirements

*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*

- Take overall command and responsibility for the safe operation
- Ensure safe navigation, vessel manoeuvring and crew management
- Ensure compliance with company SMS and applicable maritime regulations
- Conduct and supervise onboard safety drills and toolbox meetings
- Maintain proper navigation, operational and safety records
- Coordinate with the company, client and relevant authorities
- Ensure the vessel is maintained in a safe and operational condition (24/7)
- Report incidents, near misses, defects and operational concerns to the company
