Here at Autodoc Tuning we love working on De-tuned vehicles and this was no exception a W176 A180. This features a 1.6 turbo charged petrol engine which only produces 122 HP and 200 NM of torque from the factory.

The reason for this is that it uses a de tuned version of the A200 engine which makes it cheaper and easier for Mercedes to produce as instead of producing one engine for the A180 and one for the A200. They use the same engine and turbo set up with just a different factory tune within the ECU.

As the A200 already produces 156 HP out of the factory this leaves the A180 with massive tuning potential !

With our full performance, decat & pops remap applied, the standard figures rose to 172 HP and 300 NM of torque with reduced turbo lag, a 10% increased throttle response and removed rev range flat spots. The customer was stupefied by the new found performance and superlative pops produced by the exhausts on high revs.

Here at Autodoc Tuning we love working on De-tuned vehicles and this was no exception a BMW F30 316i. This features a 1.6 turbo charged petrol engine which only produces 136 HP and 220 NM of torque from the factory.

The reason for this is that it uses a de tuned version of the 320iED engine which makes it cheaper and easier for BMW to produce as instead of producing one engine for the 316i and one for the 320iED. They use the same engine and turbo set up with just a different factory tune within the ECU.

As the 320iED already produces 170 HP out of the factory this leaves the 316i with massive tuning potential !

With our full performance remap and decat applied, the standard figures rose to 206 HP and 310 NM of torque with reduced turbo lag, a 10% increased throttle response and removed rev range flat spots. It was safe to say that the customer was amazed by the new found performance and couldn't believe how much it had changed the feel of the car, as a phone call was made just on the day after, to express his feelings a second time.
