PCM Summer Party at Café del Mar
The Porsche community gathered once again for one of the highlights of our social calendar — the annual Summer Party, held at Malta's iconic Café del Mar in Qawra.
As the sun slowly descended into the horizon behind Selmun Castle, the venue provided a spectacular backdrop for an unforgettable evening. The golden hues of the sunset reflected beautifully across the aqua-blue infinity pool, while the shimmering water mirrored the lights from the elevated circular DJ stand, creating a truly magical atmosphere.
Members began arriving throughout the evening, filling the venue with conversation, laughter, and the unmistakable camaraderie that defines our club. Whether standing by the poolside, perched on a high stool overlooking the sea, or relaxing on one of the comfortable sofas, everyone contributed to the warm and welcoming spirit of the Porsche community.
The sense of friendship and genuine affection among members was evident throughout the event. New acquaintances were made, old friendships strengthened, and stories shared, all united by a common passion for Porsche.
Guests enjoyed a continuous selection of delicious finger food, including sushi and marinated chicken skewers, while the bar served an endless variety of refreshments. From classic Negronis to refreshing Campari Spritz, there was something to suit every palate. Some favoured a Martini or a Gin&Tonic, but it goes without saying, everyone enjoyed their drinks as a gentle Mediterranean breeze complemented the relaxed summer atmosphere.
Beyond the venue, the sea remained calm and tranquil. Pleasure boats could be seen making their way back to their respective harbours as dusk settled over the coastline, while our cherished Porsches rested safely parked nearby, awaiting the journey home.
With safety always a priority, designated drivers had been arranged for those enjoying the evening's refreshments, reaffirming the simple fact that drinking and driving do not mix. Many guests who had arrived in their Porsches chose to abstain from alcohol altogether or drink only lightly, ensuring they could enjoy both the occasion and the drive home responsibly.
The evening was exceptionally well organised and was warmly received by all those in attendance. More than simply a social gathering, it was a celebration of the friendships, enthusiasm, and community spirit that continue to make our club so special.
As another memorable summer event comes to a close, we look forward with anticipation to the next occasion when members can come together once again.
