Today, Malta celebrates one of its most cherished traditions while also remembering an important chapter in the islands’ history.

On 15 August, we celebrate Santa Marija and honour the legacy of the Santa Marija Convoy, whose arrival in 1942 brought vital supplies and renewed hope to Malta during one of the most difficult periods of the Second World War.
