A massive performance from Nathan Bartolo, raising the bar for rotary powered drag racing in Europe with an incredible:

6.66 @ 208 MPH — a new European rotary benchmark.

Behind every pass was a team working extremely hard, round after round, to make sure the car was ready and back on the start line every single time.

Their hard work, determination and commitment paid off with a huge result and another proud moment for Maltese drag racing on the European stage.

A strong way to close the 2026 season for Glenn Borg at the FIA/FIM European Finals at Santa Pod Raceway.

Glen showed excellent consistency throughout qualifying, running 6.60, 6.50 and 6.40-second passes, with the bike improving run after run.

Glen progressed all the way to the semi-finals, but unfortunately the event was brought to an early end due to rain.

A very positive weekend and another step forward. Well done to Glen and his entire crew for the hard work throughout the season.

Another solid weekend at the FIA/FIM European Finals at Santa Pod Raceway for Simon Giordmaina

Simon showed good pace throughout the weekend, putting together a number of strong 6.8-second passes and once again proving the performance and consistency of the bike at European level.

Unfortunately, his weekend came to an end in the first round of eliminations, but the overall performance was another positive step and showed that Simon continues to be right in the mix among some of the fastest Super Street Bike riders in Europe.

Well done to Simon and the entire team for another strong showing on the European stage.

The biggest weekend of the European drag racing season is here.

This weekend at Santa Pod Raceway, three Maltese riders & one driver will line up on one of the biggest stages in European drag racing — Luke Farrugia, Glen Borg,Simon Giordimaina & Nathan Bartolo

Luke Farrugia arrives at the Euro Finals after an incredible season in Top Fuel Bike, including a European Record of 6.14 @ 221 mph, two event victories and some world-class performances throughout the year. Now, one final weekend remains and a much awaited European crown is on the line.

Glenn Borg returns to battle in Top Fuel Bike, ready to put everything on the line at the biggest race of the season. After showing serious pace throughout the year, Glen will be looking to finish 2026 on a high.

Simon Giordmaina will once again represent Malta in the ultra competitive FIM Super Street Bike category. Coming from a strong 6.9 second performance in Germany, Simon heads to Santa Pod ready to fight against Europe’s very best.

Nathan Bartolo will pilot his Mazda Rotary Rx7 In the Carl Cox Motorsport Series & the super pro et,looking to raise the bar once again of the rotary european field.

A EUROPEAN RECORD, A RUN TO THE FINAL… AND A FINAL THAT NEVER HAPPENED!

What a weekend for Luke Farrugia at Round 3 of the FIM European Championship in Hockenheim, Germany.

Luke produced a world class performance, setting a sensational 6.14 @ 221 MPH. A NEW European Funny Bike Record,before cruising his way through eliminations and earning his place in the final against Stuart Crane.

Unfortunately, that final never happened.

A major oil down on track, combined with the strict curfew imposed at Hockenheim, brought the event to a premature end, forcing organisers to cancel the remaining finals.

Nevertheless, Luke leaves Germany after another phenomenal weekend:

🥇 NUMBER ONE QUALIFIER HOCKENHEIM IN EVERY ROUND.
🌍 NEW EUROPEAN FUNNY BIKE RECORD: 6.14 @ 221 MPH.
⚡ QUICKEST BIKE OF THE 2026 HOCKENHEIM EVENT.
🏁 FINALIST (FINAL CANCELLED DUE TO EVENT CURFEW)

And now, the full focus turns to the biggest event of the year: THE EURO FINALS at Santa Pod Raceway, UK, in just two weeks’ time.

Luke heads to Santa Pod with his lead in the FIM TOP FUEL European Championship strengthened and with one massive goal firmly in sight : That FIM European Crown.

Can Luke bring it home to Malta? We will know in two weeks’ time.

Simon Giordmaina — HOCKENHEIM, GERMANY 🇩🇪

A strong qualifying performance for Simon Giordimaina at Round 3 of the FIM European Championship in Hockenheim.

In a huge 19 bike Super Street Bike field, Simon qualified No8 with a 6.99 second pass, putting himself among the very few riders to break into the 6 second zone this weekend.

It proved to be a challenging event for the entire Super Street Bike class, with many riders struggling to put together the performances they were looking for throughout the weekend.

Unfortunately, Simon’s race came to an end in the first round of eliminations, forcing him to bow out earlier than hoped.

Still, a 6.99 and a Top 8 qualifying position in a 19-bike field gives plenty of positives to take away from Germany.

Heads up and onto the next one!

TOUGH WEEKEND FOR Glenn Borg IN HOCKENHEIM 🇩🇪

It was a challenging weekend for Glen Borg at Round 3 of the FIM European Championship in Hockenheim, Germany.

From the beginning of the event, Glen and the team found themselves fighting several issues, working hard throughout the weekend trying to get the bike back where they wanted it.

And just when it looked like things had finally started to turn around, unfortunately racing can be cruel.

Glen had to bow out in the first round of eliminations, bringing his Hockenheim weekend to an earlier end than everyone had hoped for.

But that’s drag racing. Sometimes the results don’t reflect the amount of work, determination and effort happening behind the scenes.

Onto the next one!
