The enigma of the Ferrari Luce.
The latest Ferraris, those designed by Manzoni, undeniably lack the allure of those designed by Pininfarina, which made the brand's history.
Then came Vigna, the semiconductor scientist, and work began on the first electric Ferrari.
And finally, this car was presented, the Ferrari Luce and all hell broke loose, on the stock market and elsewhere.
We ourselves won't deny that we've had more than a few moments of confusion. It doesn't look like a Ferrari, it's not a Ferrari and it's not just the noise. It's something completely new, something foreign to everything we knew about Ferrari. Something we perhaps don't have the tools to judge, even remotely.
Too much innovation everywhere, a repository of patents and high technology in all its forms. The Ferrari Luce is a spaceship disguised as a telephone, a mysterious object that doesn't give you confidence.
There's nothing racing about it, nothing that comforts our Ferrarista soul in any way.
She's just cold, simple, and necessary technology. Designed to be exclusively useful.
But strangely enough, she has something, something striking, a hidden personality, a mysterious charm. She doesn't go unnoticed; she's the future.
It may be an appliance that doesn't deserve the Prancing Horse label but, no, it doesn't go unnoticed.
