This is the smallest shock dyno LABA7 has ever built, and it still hits every mark a full lab-grade dyno has to. MICRO is a closed-loop servo-driven Scotch-Yoke dyno designed to travel with the team instead of staying bolted to a shop floor. It takes a quarter of the space our previous smallest model needed, breaks down into a travel case, and holds test speed steady down to 1 mm/s even under load.

Most fans never see what happens before a superbike hits the grid. This is how Yoshimura_SERT_Motul uses LABA7 scales to weigh their Suzuki GSX-R1000R, and why it matters more than you'd think.
Every team in the paddock races under the same minimum weight limit, and every team tries to get as close to it as possible. On a 170 kg superbike, that means every kilogram, sometimes every gram, counts.
It's not just the bike that gets weighed. Riders step on in full gear too, and since there's no minimum or maximum for them, it's an open invitation for the team to joke about who's put on a few extra kilos.
Beyond full-bike weigh-ins, the same scales get used on individual parts, wheels, forks, and more. That kind of accuracy across such different weights is what makes them useful for more than just race-day checks.
Before any real weigh-in, there's a running tradition on the team: ask if anyone wants to step on the scale first just to confirm it's working. Nobody ever volunteers, and somehow, everyone's bathroom scale at home reads a little lighter.

One trip to China turned into three. ATE China gave us a clearer read on the interest out there than we expected, especially around our shock dynos and the EMA system. So we’re heading back twice more this year. Next up: CIMAMotor 2026 in Chongqing (Sept 19–22) and SAECCE 2026 in Suzhou (Oct 27–30, Hall D · Booth D171), both with our local team running the EMA system live.
