After 4 years and countless hours of hard work, we are thrilled to announce the completion of our vintage Volvo C202 micro camper project: The Hulk! 💚 What started as a simple camper conversion quickly turned into an epic journey of restoration.
When we first laid eyes on this beauty in Sweden, we had no idea what we were getting into. The truck arrived with the chassis full of holes, the body riddled with rust, noisy axles, and an overheating engine. A rational decision at that stage might have been to sell it for scrap, but we are anything but rational!
Our journey began with a complete sandblasting of the entire truck and prepare for restoration. After that, we rebuilt the chassis and galvanized it for durability. The body received a complete overhaul; we removed rust, replaced panels, and reinforced weak spots to ensure it could withstand any adventure. 🚧
Next, we tackled the heart of the beast—the engine. We completely rebuilt it. The gearbox was also overhauled, and we upgraded the suspension for a smoother ride. Power steering was installed to make navigating this rugged beauty a breeze! 🛠️
We didn’t stop there! We added new windows for a fresh look, and installed a PTO winch for those tricky off-road situations and a lot of led lights to see anywhere! The interior was designed with comfort in mind, and we partnered with .wpt to create a cozy camper space that feels like home on the road.
After so much hard work, we are ecstatic to announce that we have just completed the final touches on the interior. The Hulk is now ready for its first adventure! 🚀✨
