STATUS UPDATE. It's been the first week since the day the bmw arrived at our workshop. It sounds weird, but the easiest part in the past - the car interior is completely disassembled. The time comes for the car body, engine and suspension.

The second day of BLOODY MARY's restoration. We start to disassemble all car interior because need to find where water come to car interior . All interior parts is in very good condition no scratches, no defects. Plastic parts after disassembling not broken and we very happy about that.
Car floor is out and let's check all metal parts and we not very happy, because we found much more rust spots and holes. Under the rear seats we found 3 rust spots ant one big hole. Holy s**t, how did they come there?

The very first day of BLOODY MARY's restoration! Today we started disassembling it. After a quick condition evaluation we made note of the biggest defects. The rear window is broken, body is full of visible corrosion, engine isn't starting properly. As you see, it's possible that the driver's side in the past had a major accident, which was repaired by someone with questionable skills and in result there's a big corrosion spot now.

We do however believe, that this is just a tip of an iceberg and after disassembling everything we'll see quite a few more things to fix. Can't wait!

BLOODY MARY is the name we came up with for a good reason... Our project began on a day no different from any other but it sure was a special one for us. We did manage to notice most of the defects that the previous owner was trying to hide, however the biggest one became apparent only after driving some 15 kilometres (about 10 miles). I was looking at the rearview mirror waiting on G to catch up when I felt water touching my feet(??!)....

Long story short, apparently the bottom wasn't hermetic and I had stopped in a puddle. It didn't scare us away however and only made us to more eager to bring this beauty back to it's glory days.

Our first project's story begins here and now, follow us to be updated every day.
