I just got back from work… already tired, just wanting to rest.
As I stepped into the house, the kitchen was a bit messy. Walked a bit further, clothes piled up in the laundry area.
At that point, I won’t lie… I was already preparing my speech in my head 😅
I headed to the room, opened the door…
and there she was, fast asleep. Not just sleeping… exhausted.
I paused.
Something didn’t feel right.
As I turned to leave, I noticed a pack of pads nearby…
and instantly, everything made sense.
That moment? My whole mindset changed.
I know how hard those days can be for her… the discomfort, the mood, the tiredness. So instead of talking, I acted.
I handled the laundry.
Cleaned up the kitchen.
Came back and covered her properly.
Because sometimes love is not in what you say…
it’s in what you do.
I was ready to complain… until I chose to understand.
That’s what being partners is about…
paying attention, showing up, and holding each other down when one is weak ❤️
