Not all brake fluids are the same.

DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5... each is engineered for different braking demands.

Their color also helps identify the fluid type and condition. Choose wisely. Drive safely.

Always use the correct OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) approved brake fluid type for your vehicle. Note: While brake fluids often have characteristic colors (such as amber, blue, purple, or clear), color is not standardized by the DOT specification.

Manufacturers may use different dyes, so the DOT number—not the color—is what determines compatibility and performance.
