Shadowline Car Care Products - Honest Review by ShineMode
Shadowline is a new car care brand founded by Sri Lankan entrepreneur Ashen Wijewardana, who is currently based overseas. The company is headquartered in New York, USA, and is already serving the U.S. market.
ShineMode Detailing has been officially recognized as an Official Shadowline Authorized Detailer in Sri Lanka. This recognition reflects Shadowline's trust in our commitment to quality, professionalism, customer satisfaction, and the use of authentic Shadowline Car Care products.
Even though we are an authorized detailer, we always provide our honest recommendations based on our own testing and experience with each product. Our authorization does not influence our reviews or ratings. If we find something that could be improved, we will point it out honestly.
Here is our experience with the Shadowline lineup:
Revive | Interior Cleaner : Application is very easy, with a good shaving-cream-like foam. Cleaning power is decent, and we noticed that it leaves a very minimal greasy feel. However, this can be managed by using multiple towels during the final wipe-down.
Value for Money: Very Good
Overall Rating: 7.5/10
Interior Shine | Trim Dressing : Application is easy, but it has a fairly greasy feel during application, so wearing gloves is recommended. It provides noticeable trim darkening with a decent satin finish, bringing the appearance closer to a factory-fresh look.
A thorough wipe-down with a microfiber towel is necessary to remove excess product and prevent the finish from feeling greasy.
Value for Money: Very Good
Overall Rating: 7/10
Clarity | Glass Cleaner : We tested Clarity on heavily soiled glass, and it cleaned very well with minimal effort. However, we noticed a slight hazy film after cleaning.
With additional wiping using another towel, the haze can be reduced significantly, but it is still slightly noticeable.
At the moment, this is our least favorite product from the Shadowline lineup. We hope this will be improved with a future formula update.
Value for Money: Good

Gloss | Car Shampoo : Our top pick from the Shadowline lineup.
Gloss is a pH-neutral, very thick-foaming shampoo with excellent cleaning power and a good working time during contact washing after foaming the entire vehicle.
It leaves a very nice finish and is excellent for ceramic coating maintenance. We also found that it works very well as a pre-wash snow foam on coated vehicles.
The minimal gloss enhancers in the formula are completely safe for ceramic coatings and will not damage or negatively affect the coating. We highly recommend this shampoo for ceramic-coated vehicles.
The only reason we deducted 0.5 points is because we generally prefer a pure shampoo without any gloss-enhancing properties. This is simply our personal preference as detailers, not a concern with the product itself.
Even with that minor point, we absolutely love this shampoo and consider it one of the best car shampoos we have used.
Value for Money: Excellent
Overall Rating: 9.5/10
Shine | Tire Dressing : Application is easy, but the product has a fairly greasy feel during application, so wearing gloves is recommended.
It provides a very good shine on tires and can be brought down to a satin finish with a microfiber wipe-down.
It also provides good hydrophobic properties, helping repel water and dirt.
Under Sri Lankan road conditions, we found that the high-gloss appearance typically lasts around 1 to 2 weeks. After driving through heavy rain, the full shine had faded, but the tires still maintained a good dark appearance.

ShineMode Overall Verdict
After testing the lineup, Gloss Car Shampoo is our clear favorite, scoring 9.5/10. It offers excellent cleaning performance, great foam, good working time, and works particularly well for ceramic-coated vehicles.
Overall, we would describe Shadowline as a solid mid-range car care brand with excellent pricing. While not every product in the lineup is perfect, the brand offers several products with very good performance at a competitive price point.
Based on our testing, we can confidently recommend Shadowline over most other Sri Lankan car care brands currently available in the market, especially for customers and detailers looking for a good balance between performance, quality, and price.
