This year has been a turning point for Hyundai MOBIS in Europe. Production of chassis modules for a premium European automaker began in Hungary in March, followed by full-scale operations at the battery system plant in Spain in June and the e-Axle plant in Slovakia in September. With production now closer to major European automakers, Hyundai MOBIS can respond to local customer needs faster than ever.
Building on this footprint, Hyundai MOBIS is bringing its future mobility technologies directly to European customers. In safety, its roof airbag became the world’s first to enter mass production this September, helping reduce occupant ejection and protect passengers in a rollover. In electrification, Cell-to-Vehicle (CTV) technology integrates the battery directly into the vehicle structure and can reduce costs by up to 30%. Cell-to-Pack (CTP) technology is moving to a big-block stack design that supports both NCM and LFP cells.
Inside the cabin, the 3D AR HUD overlays three-dimensional information onto the road ahead. The Slidable Display, which combines flexible OLED with actuation technology, expands the screen on demand and enters mass production this December. Rounding out the lineup is the Electro-Mechanical Brake(EMB), which controls braking entirely through electrical signals for more precise response and around 3% higher EV efficiency.
All of these technologies will be on display at IZB 2026 in Wolfsburg, Germany, from October 27 to 29.
