The insurance reinspection process after accident repairs is a standard procedure where the insurance company sends a representative (usually an assessor) to verify that the vehicle was repaired properly and in line with the original estimate.
As we end the week, we dive in and break down the process in a few steps:

1. Repairs Completed by Garage

The repair shop completes all authorized repairs as per the insurance-approved estimate and calls /writes for reinspection.

2. Request for Reinspection

The garage or insurer initiates a request for reinspection (this depends on the policy or internal process).

Usually, it happens for high-value claims above kes 200,000 for most insurance companies.

3. Inspector Visits the Garage

An insurance inspector (or independent assessor) physically checks the vehicle.

They compare:

The repair work done vs. original damage

The parts used (genuine, OEM, used, etc) are as authorised.

The quality of the repairs done.

4. Documentation

Photos taken of the repairs and items replaced, a checklist, and a final reinspection report are often generated.

Why It Matters:

✅ Ensures quality and safety for the car owner.

🛡️ Protects the insurer from fraudulent or substandard repairs.

📋 Gives the garage credibility when work is verified successfully.
