Kerb rash running edge to edge, the kind that makes you avoid looking at your own wheel. ✨

The lathe takes it off in passes of a few microns, leaving one clean face, then a protective lacquer on top. The rim is not new, it is yours, and it still has the strength of its original casting.

But now it looks new. KES 4,500 with a free polish, all done here in Muthaiga North.

Why the oven twice? 🔥

The first bake comes before the powder, it drives moisture and oil out of the metal. Skip it and moisture stays trapped under the coating and lifts it later. The second bake comes after the powder, it is what bonds it to the metal and hardens it.

Skip either one and the finish can bubble or peel. That is the difference between a coating that lasts and one that lets you down.

This clip is the work happening with the wheel still on the car. 🔩 It is process, not a reveal.

We will not tell you to spot the difference, because this clip has no before and after. We show how the job is run: the rim comes off the hub, gets worked, then goes back.

Why does that matter? Many shops show only result photos, and you can never tell if the work inside was done right. We show the bench, the machine, the oven.
