It is a powerful car compared to many Japanese cars with more engine capacity eg Demio 1300cc, Vitz 1300cc etc. VW Polo has a horse power of 109HP whereas a Demio has a horse power of 93HP. Infact VW Polo 1000cc horse power supersede a horse power of Toyota Fielder 1500cc
Technology:
Polo 2019 has more features and improved interior. For instance, Android Auto, Apply Car play, Auto parking and wireless charging are some of the improvements that its Japanese competitors lack in their models. Majority of units come with full multi-functional steering with cruise controls.
Safety:
VW Polo has modern safety features such as advanced collision mitigation system, 6 airbags, strong body materials that make the door firm and secured, Anti skid program that helps in controlling the car incase one is hit from behind.
Service parts
Service parts are locally available at shops such as impala shops and the prices are fair. For instance, air cleaner goes for less than Kshs 2000, while oil filter goes for between 500 and 700 shillings.
Disadvantages:
VW Polo requires a specialist because for one to get the real issue a dedicates VCDS softwares is required as the common Launch machines may not give the correct diagnosis. One also needs someone who knows how to decode the errors hence the need to use an experienced VW specialist when doing repairs and service. This means someone who resides in far areas such as Nyahururu may not be comfortable owning one because, maybe, a specialist may not be available in such far places from Nairobi.
It is therefore ideal for someone living and working in Nairobi but that doesn't mean you should not visit your ushago with it.
Nonetheless, With the correct equipment the car is a good and simple car to repair. Some of the parts just like many cars including modern Japanese cars are expensive. VW polo parts are durable though.
