HOW TO IMPORT A CAR WITH KAI & KARO 🇯🇵➡️🇰🇪

Whether you’re buying your first import or adding to your collection, our goal has always been the same: make the process simple, transparent and cost-effective.
Here’s how it works.
1. Choose your car
Browse our available stock or tell us exactly what you’re looking for. We’ll source the best unit based on your budget and preferences.
2. Sign our agency agreement
Before any money changes hands, we sign an agency agreement that clearly outlines our role, pricing and the entire import process.
3. Secure your vehicle
We now accept just 50% of the CIF amount to secure your vehicle.
The remaining 50% is only payable before the vehicle arrives in Kenya.
You also have the flexibility to:
• Pay the supplier directly in Japan, or
• Make payment locally through us.
Whichever option you choose, you’ll know exactly where your money is going.
4. We purchase and ship
Once payment is confirmed, we secure the vehicle, arrange shipping and keep you updated throughout the journey from Japan to Mombasa.
5. Clearance
When the vehicle arrives:
• Import duty is paid directly to KRA.
• Clearing fees are paid to the clearing agent. You’re welcome to use ours or appoint your own.
6. Collection
After clearance, your vehicle is ready for collection and registration.
