🇰🇪 HAPPY MASHUJAA DAY! 🇰🇪

Today, we celebrate the everyday heroes who dare to challenge the norm, break stereotypes, and pave the way for others.

To every woman turning spanners, diagnosing engines, mastering automotive engineering, and proving that the garage is a place where women belong — we celebrate YOU! 🩷🔧

You are more than breaking barriers. You are rebuilding the industry, one skill, one engine, and one opportunity at a time.

Here's to the women who are not afraid to get their hands dirty while making history! 💪🏾

Real Shujaaz. Real Skills. Real Change. 😉

From all of us at Chixz Auto Garage, wishing you a happy Mashujaa Day!

𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝: 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨

A thriving workplace is not just about the work we do. It is also about how safe, respected and supported people feel while doing it.

We recognise that women entering the automotive industry deserve more than technical training. They deserve an environment where their voices matter, their dignity is protected, and they can speak up without fear.

Through our safeguarding efforts, we encourage our women mechanics to speak up and report concerns whenever something does not feel right. We believe that creating safer working and learning environments is a shared responsibility.

As we continue building opportunities for women in automotive, we remain committed to fostering a culture of respect, accountability and psychological safety.

Because empowering women also means creating spaces where they can thrive.

On 17th was the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, we were reminded that tackling poverty requires more than good intentions. It requires practical opportunities for people to build sustainable livelihoods.

We contribute to this effort by equipping women with automotive skills, connecting them to internship opportunities and, where opportunities arise, supporting pathways to employment.

Our work in Kilifi is particularly meaningful. We recognise the importance of expanding access to technical and economic opportunities for women in communities where such opportunities may be limited.

When a woman gains a marketable skill, she gains another pathway towards earning an income, making choices and shaping her future.

We believe economic empowerment begins with access, access to training, experience, networks and opportunities to work.

Our vision is simple: 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣, 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨.

𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙎 𝙄𝙎 𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙀𝙈𝙋𝙊𝙒𝙀𝙍𝙈𝙀𝙉𝙏 𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆𝙎 𝙇𝙄𝙆𝙀

This is more than a motorcycle workshop.

It is women getting their hands dirty, learning something practical and stepping into a space where they have every right to belong.

From Nairobi to Kilifi, we continue to put women at the centre of skills, mobility and economic opportunity.
Because empowerment isn't just something we talk about.

Sometimes, it looks like a woman picking up a tool and learning how to use it. 🔧💗

𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙍𝙄𝙋𝙋𝙇𝙀 𝙀𝙁𝙁𝙀𝘾𝙏

When one woman gains a skill, the impact can extend beyond the workshop.

She gains knowledge.
She gains experience.
She may gain access to new economic opportunities.

And she becomes another woman who can say:
“Yes, I can do this.”

That's the ripple we want to see. 🌱💗

𝙁𝙍𝙊𝙈 𝙉𝘼𝙄𝙍𝙊𝘽𝙄 𝙏𝙊 𝙆𝙄𝙇𝙄𝙁𝙄 🥳

Different county. Same vision. 💗

From Nairobi to Kilifi, we are showing that women can be part of the automotive industry wherever opportunities are created for them.

Because empowerment shouldn't stop at the city limits.

Skills belong everywhere. Opportunities belong everywhere. Women belong everywhere.

Today, we celebrate the African girl child, her dreams, her courage, her potential and her right to shape her own future.

To the girls who are daring to dream differently, choosing to learn technical skills and stepping into the automotive industry, we see you, we celebrate you, and we are cheering you on! 🔧💪🏾

We are proud of the women who are already learning, working and thriving in motorcycle mechanics. You are challenging stereotypes and showing other girls that the automotive industry has a place for them, too.

This year's theme, “End child marriage and invest in girls’ rights!”, reminds us that girls deserve the freedom to learn, grow, make choices and pursue their dreams.

And to every girl who would love to explore the world of mechanics: our doors are open to more ladies who are ready to learn and build their skills with us! 🩷

You belong here. Your dreams matter. Your future is worth investing in.

We love you. We celebrate you. We believe in you. 𝙃𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙞𝙧𝙡 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙! 🌸

𝙇𝙊𝘾𝘼𝙇 𝙎𝙆𝙄𝙇𝙇𝙎 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙇𝙊𝘾𝘼𝙇 𝙉𝙀𝙀𝘿𝙎

Sometimes empowerment starts by looking at what a community actually needs.
In Kilifi, motorcycles are a familiar part of everyday mobility.
So why not equip more women with the skills to work with them?

Local context. Practical skills. Real possibilities.
That's the kind of skilling that can meet people where they are.
