Spectre, Rolls-Royce’s ultra-luxury electric super coupé, is currently completing the third phase of its rigorous global testing programme in South Africa, where temperatures can exceed 50°C.
The extreme hot weather conditions purposefully challenge all aspects of Spectre’s drive, ensuring that Rolls-Royce engineers can achieve the exacting levels of ride refinement that are central to the marque.
Once all test phases are complete, Spectre will have been trialled and refined over a staggering 2.5 million kilometres —the equivalent of circumnavigating the globe 62 times, before the first cars are delivered to their owners later this year.
