Honda has officially issued a “Do Not Drive” warning for certain 2001-2003 Honda Accord, Civic, CR-V, Odyssey, and many more models equipped with unrepaired Takata Alpha driver side airbag inflators. If you own one of these vehicles and still have an open Takata airbag recall, do not drive it until this urgent, lifesaving recall has been completed. Replacement parts are available now for free for this recall.

The root cause of the problem: airbags that use ammonium-nitrate-based propellant without a chemical drying agent. As postulated early on, environmental moisture, high temperatures, and age as associated with the defect that can improperly inflate the airbags and even send shrapnel into the occupant.

The new Cross Trek model, in addition to the upgraded stereo cameras and a new generation eye sight that broadened the range of perception significantly, the newly equipped wide-angle monocular camera has also improved the accuracy of identification of two-wheelers and pedestrians in the vicinity of vehicles.
Further, setting up front-facing radars can reduce the risk of accidents involving bikes and pedestrians inside intersections.
