Iron Chef Exports

Iron Chef Exports Hand-picking and exporting the finest vehicles worldwide, direct from Japan. WHY HAVE A SEPARATE PAGE TO IRON CHEF IMPORTS? IRON CHEF - WHY THE FUNNY NAME?

Iron Chef Imports began in Japan 1999, exporting cars from Japan to Australia for vehicle dealers. From there, founder Kristian Appelt returned to Australia to return to a teaching career, importing vehicles from Japan for family and friends. Over time, the business grew to a point where Kristian was able to become a full time import broker at the end of 2007 until now. In 2011, two off-shoot busi

nesses were established - Iron Block Imports (importing vehicles to Australia from the USA) and Iron Lady Imports (importing vehicles to Australia from the UK. At the beginning of 2012, Troy and Alicia Fuller joined the Iron Chef team and quickly became the main port of call for all new enquiries while Kristian pursued other business interests. In November 2013, Troy and Alicia moved to Tokyo to help establish Iron Chef Exports, again giving us the ability to export to private clients worldwide direct from Japan. Having a separate page means that our international customers (ie the ones who aren't Australian) can receive information tailored to their specific markets, rather than sale prices that apply to Australia only. Have you ever seen companies using their company name as their username on car forums? With Iron Chef Imports, it was the reverse! Kristian's username has always been "Iron Chef" (because of his love for the show) and the business name was an extension of this, enabling his customers (mostly other users from car forums back in the early days) to identify who they were dealing with. WHERE DOES IRON CHEF EXPORTS EXPORT? Anywhere in the world, providing your import regulations allow it. We have clients in the US, UK, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and many more. THE PRICES ARE IN JAPANESE YEN - HOW DO I WORK OUT THE COST TO GET IT TO MY DOOR? Please PM us here, or email Troy at [email protected] for more complete pricing to your country, in your currency.

PLEASE SHARE!! THIS IS WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO USE AN AGENT WHO CHECKS CARS IN THE METAL. This not-so-fine example of an R32 Skyline GT-R will no doubt be making its way to the USA at some stage later on this year, only for the importer to discover that his dream car (which he paid top money for today at auction) is a rusty pile of crap that should have been scrapped. The pics only show the top, it was even worse underneath!

Welcome to the Iron Chef Exports page! Stick around to see what awesomeness rolls through auction in Japan each day.

At the end of each post, we'll add which countries the car can be exported to. If it's left blank, it means it will be eligible for export to just about anywhere. Double check with us if you want to make sure you can buy it.

US buyers, we have the ability to store cars for you until they're eligible for import under the 25 year rule, so please ask if you'd like more information.

Note that we list all sold prices in yen, and in FOB. FOB stands for "Free On Board" and means that all costs at the Japanese end (agent admin fees, de-registration, transport etc) are included in the price. If you'd like a landed cost (including shipping and taxes in your country) in your currency, please PM us.
