When we had started the lesson he was very tense causing him to be lean on the bike and making it harder for him to feel balanced. By the end of the lesson he was more comfortable and was more able to relax causing him to be more centered and balanced, where he was able to be more aware of his surroundings. When we ride motorcycles our awareness levels need to be heightened because we are exposed to ALL risk and danger. Safety starts in the mind so I like to say "Scan and Plan" look 10-15secs ahead and constantly ask yourself the "what if" questionโ€ผ๏ธ simulate the worst-case scenario in your mind and have a plan in place for that happeningโ€ผ๏ธ

practicing maximum braking is critical in improving your skill level! knowing the amount of braking force you can apply quickly with out losing traction especially in you front wheel on any road surface is super important and the only way to do this is by practicing. you want to have this muscle memory down so you instinctively know how much pressure you can apply in an emergency, other wise you will panic and before you realise it you're sliding on the ground and you better pray that there is nothing in your way that will stop you suddenly, as that is usually the case that causes serious injuries and FATALITIES!

looking forward to this Back to Basics riding workshop in Hanover Jamaica, where I get to share my knowledge and experience on how to stay safe when operating a motorcycle on the road. Riders please always remember to look 12 seconds ahead of you when riding, and always remember AWARENESS buys you TIME and TIME buys you OPTIONS! Thinking that way, you will always leave room for error and not have too many close calls.

hope to see a good turn out for a day of KNOWLEDGE and FUN ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ฒ
