Welcome to all that use this page, here's a quick run down of the rules that make your ad easy to read, understand and hopefully, get your item sold!
1, FULL details of the item in the title (Age, Mileage, Engine size, Guide Price) and the engine size goes for BMW's, Merc's, etc as they dont always relate to the engine size. Do not just post a link to other pages - it's not difficult and saves people asking "daft" questions! If your ad doesn't have as asked, it could be DELETED without warning. If wanting to list numerous items, put it in an album! ANYTHING NON-MOTOR RELATED WILL BE DLETED AND THE USER BANNED!
2, NO slating/abuse/sarcasm or SWEARING. One warning, then you'll be banned. Respect others ads as you would like yours to be respected, stupid and unnecessary COMMENTS WILL BE REMOVED!
3, ALL ads and responses to be in English. Not being racist or anything, but then everyone can understand and saves asking over and again. If ads and comments are posted in a language other than English we the admins will have to assume it is possibly abusive and remove them (comments/posts). This can be avoided by communicating in English, by all means take the conversation to inbox in whatever language you wish. Please note if excessive foreign languages are commented the original ad will be deleted.
4, Any problems with users/items etc, please contact an admin and we'll do our best to help. DO NOT post about a seller/buyer in a negative or offensive light, these kind of posts will be removed. Any posts that render slander will be removed and persistent posting of this nature will end with the person(s) being removed from the group.
5, DO NOT repost your advert again and again, just put a comment (ie: bump but leave comment, DO NOT DELETE the bump) and this will bring your ad back to the top, but only bump 24hrs after posting or 24hrs after last comment, ad will be removed if bumped within the 24hr period (still available etc is a bump) Its only fair to other members. ONLY the person putting the ad up is to bump, others will be removed from group - a 'bump' includes responding to a comment, YOUR NEXT BUMP SHOULD BE 24 HOURS AFTER YOUR LAST COMMENT!
6, When you sell your item, please delete the advert! At the least, comment "Sold" so an admin can delete that for you....
7, NO BUSINESS advertising!! Selling you old workshop equipment is ok, advertising your old stock or weekly specials etc. isn't. If we allow one, we have to allow all, and it'll turn into a garage adverts page too quickly! Any business advertising will earn the poster and instant block from the group (this includes offering finance).
8, Users putting ads up and blocking the admins from being able to comment, will be removed from the group. It's pointless doing it as we may need to comment at some point.
9, Members are free to use this forum to buy, sell etc. it took years of work to build this page up so please do not feel you can advertise your own groups/pages - this includes sharing ads from other groups or Screenshots of other pages/groups ads and titles. Members will be removed and banned instantly for this.
10, Please do not post wanted car ads (ie: Wanted 106, First car). There are usually loads on the page, so please look or use the search tab. NO 'possibly/might be' for sale ads........either it is or it isn't! Do not share other people's posts on the page from outside the Forum. Ads will be removed without warning.
11. This IS NOT a ‘lost & found’ or ‘police assistance’ page, by that we mean please do not post that your bike was stolen or you were involved with an RTA and you are looking for witnesses - this is what the police are paid so handsomely for. If you find a set of keys hand them in to the station, if you have lost something report you have lost it - DO NOT USE THIS PAGE.
12. NO MEMES, this is not a popularity page where you can expect to accumulate likes from posting inappropriate and disrespectful pictures which in turn hold the same offensiveness as actually writing something without an image, memes will be treated the same as rule 2 and be removed.
13. No requesting details of other cars. People have a right to privacy and posts asking "who owns number plate J****" or "who's is the car parked at the shop" will be removed.
14. Admins from other groups using our content; Name, description, logo or rules will be banned from here. If you want your own JCF make it and use don't expect to be part of ours.
15. No fake names/accounts. To keep trolling, bullying and the possibility of criminal activity we will only accept genuine named accounts into the group this means if your name is 'car man' or 'jersey jersey' you will not be accepted.
We the admins are here for both sellers and buyers and to ensure things are kept in line, we wish for users to come here, buy and sell, then leave with a smile - that is all.
Also - not a rule as such, just basic common sense
- You should never exchange personal bank details over the internet!
- You should never sign over a logbook until you have received full payment
