From wooden skis to professional dual-track snowmobiles: discover the history of Alpina.

Our journey began back in the 1950s, driven by a deep passion for cross-country skiing and a clear vision: tackling the most demanding winter terrains. Through decades of mechanical craft, hand-built prototypes, and constant innovation, that vision turned into the world standard for professional snow transport.

Together to dominate the winter. ❄️

Every machine has its role on the trails, but when the going gets tough and heavy-duty work power is required, our Alpina's dual-track traction makes all the difference.

Two tracks, zero compromises. Where others stop, Alpina starts working.

A warm welcome to the new Alpina SUPERCLASS 1.2L at UAF North Campus! ❄️🌲

We are thrilled to see our latest SUPERCLASS 1.2L officially arriving at the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus! The team and volunteers gathered at the Troth Yeddha' Campus sign to celebrate this new powerhouse, fully equipped with the Alpina F-250 dual-tracksetter electric implement for cross-country trail grooming.

In the second photo, you can also see groomer Todor smiling on his new ride with the keys in hand! The local community has already affectionately nicknamed the new Superclass 'Sherpa,' keeping up the tradition of their legacy Alpina Sherpa machine that groomed their trails for many years. Knowing that our long-time customers continue to rely on Alpina for their toughest winters is our greatest pride.

A special thank you to UAF North Campus and the NSCF - FXC for their trust. We also want to give a huge shoutout to our US distributor, 47 North Snowmobiles for successfully handling the negotiation and making this delivery possible!

THE NAME'S SHERPA, ALPINA SHERPA.

Did you know there is an Italian engineering secret behind one of the most famous action scenes in the James Bond saga?

To shoot the spectacular crash landing through the woods of the Austrian Alps in the movie 007: Spectre, the film production chose the unbeatable power and reliability of our Alpina Sherpa 1.6 Ti-VCT.

The trick is there, but you can't see it! 🎬
Hidden inside the fuselage of the aircraft (a Britten-Norman Islander), a single Sherpa was integrated right at the center, matching the wings' position. Leveraging its unique traction and stability, the fuselage managed to speed across the snow, perfectly simulating the impact. The other three Sherpas supplied to the production remained outside as tireless support vehicles for the crew moving across the high-altitude set.

👇 Swipe through the gallery: in the second photo, looking closely underneath the cockpit, you can clearly see the Alpina track profile and the front steering ski. The latter was a custom engineering solution developed by the technical production team, positioning it forward under the cabin to ensure the aircraft's perfect balance and steering during filming! Tracks and ski were then digitally removed in post-production, frame by frame.

When pinpoint precision and technical flexibility are required in extreme conditions, Hollywood and the world’s most famous secret agent rely on Alpina.

🎥 Do you remember this scene in the theater? Who among you had spotted the track profile?

ENGINEERING THE FUTURE OF WINTER UTILITY, EVERY SINGLE DAY 🏔️

At Alpina, we believe that true innovation isn’t a milestone anchored in the past—it’s a continuous, daily commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on snow.

For thirty years, our engineering has been strictly grounded in physics, rigorous science, and raw field experience. We don't adapt to trends; we design the zero-compromise solutions that snow professionals worldwide rely on when failure is not an option.

Instead of just following existing concepts, in 1996 Alpina took the dual-track layout, overcame its historical limitations, and brought it straight into the future—forever redefining the standards of professional efficiency. From that breakthrough to our active, ongoing 2026 eco-powertrain developments, our timeline is an uninterrupted journey of technological leadership.

Explore the real engineering milestones that continue to redefine heavy-duty mountain operations.

True utility engineering is shaped by the reality of the field, not by trends.

In extreme alpine environments, efficiency is measured by results. When the mission requires hours of continuous grooming or heavy transport at sub-zero temperatures, professionals need technology they can rely on without interruptions.

The Alpina Superclass 1.2L VVT is designed around this exact pragmatic need. It delivers massive dual-track traction, high towing capacity, and the continuous endurance required for heavy-duty winter operations—shift after shift, with zero range compromises.

A compact yet powerful workhorse, engineered to meet the daily challenges of ski resorts and mountain utility teams worldwide.
