Our two N67 engines have been powering the motor sailer used by the Tethys Research Institute or a year to monitor and protect cetaceans in the Pelagos Sanctuary, the largest marine protected area in the Mediterranean Sea.

Since May, when the second observation season powered by FPT began, Blue, one of the two male s***m whales that FPT symbolically adopted, has been sighted on four occasions foraging in the north western portion of the Pelagos Sanctuary. This is encouraging news, confirming that the animal appears in good health and is continuing to use this area as a foraging ground.

S***m whales are magnificent but very fragile creatures, exposed to many threats, all of anthropic origin. Seeing Blue many times is important and inspiring news, making us proud of the support we provide to Tethys’ mission.

DSD Marine Solutions, the Irish sub-dealer working alongside our UK distributor Marlin Marine, welcomed customers and marine professionals at its Open Day on Valentia Island.

The event gave guests the opportunity to come together to share experiences, exchange insights, and explore FPT solutions designed for life at sea.

Discover our support for One Ocean Foundation’s Blue Forest initiative, a project dedicated to restoring Posidonia oceanica, a plant endemic to the Mediterranean Sea.

Posidonia oceanica meadows reduce wave energy, helping prevent sandy coastline erosion, while stabilizing the seabed and providing habitat and breeding grounds for more than 350 species. Most importantly, they play a vital role in mitigating climate change thanks to their exceptional carbon storage capacity.

That’s why we support the Blue Forest Project, sponsoring a new 25-square-meter Posidonia oceanica forest in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, in the visionary buoy field set up more than 20 years ago by Smeralda Holding, Principal Partner of the initiative.
Once fully established, the submarine forest will be capable of producing up to 500 liters of oxygen per day.

We are proud to help make these important conservation efforts possible to protect the sea for future generations.

We are proud to announce the continued expansion of our North American distribution network as our long-standing partner, M&L Engine, extends its coverage into North and South Carolina.
