As from autumn 2026, all DAF vehicles will have the DTE badge on their grille, illustrating that the DAF Transport Efficiency philosophy has driven their development from A to Z.
A clear example of the DAF Transport Efficiency philosophy is the pro-active way customers are supported to realize highest vehicle uptime. For this, a series of digital services are in place, based on the functionalities of PACCAR Connect. These DAF TruckIQ services include for instance Remote Software Updates, allowing the driver to perform updates through pushing a button on the dashboard instead of visiting the workshop. This ensures the truck is always running the latest software, while remaining fully operational.
DAF PreDiagnostics means that even before a truck drives into the workshop, the dealer already knows what needs to be done. Workshop technicians and parts are prepared in advance, which further adds to highest vehicle uptime. That is also the aim of DAF Smart Service Alerts, which detects eventually risks even before they may occur, another example of DAFโs leading pro-active customer support.
Additional vehicle innovations that enhance efficiency as well as safety, include DAF Drowsiness and Distraction Detection (warning when the driverโs eyes arenโt watching the road ahead for longer than 6 seconds), DAF On Board Fuel Monitoring System (monitoring real-world fuel use, and calculating instantaneous and lifetime totals) and DAF On Board Weight Monitoring System (providing vehicle or vehicle combination mass).
