A weekend of comebacks, changing conditions and strong racing at WSK Final Cup Round 1 in Franciacorta. 🏁🔥

Qualifying didn’t reflect Gioele Carrer’s true potential, finishing P13 in his group, just four tenths away from pole position. But once the racing started, the pace was back.

A strong recovery in Heat 1 saw Gioele gain six positions to finish P9. Then came the rain and one of the highlights of the weekend: an incredible start in Heat 2 brought him straight up to P4 after the opening lap. Unfortunately, an ambitious overtaking attempt ended his race early, but the speed was clear.

Back in the Top 10 in both Heat 3 and Heat 4, Gioele continued to fight his way up the standings. Starting Sunday’s Prefinal B from P11, he produced another solid comeback to cross the line in P5 and secure his place in the Final.

The recovery continued in the last race of the weekend, where Gioele gained an impressive 10 positions to finish P10.

Not the weekend we wanted in terms of results, but a weekend that showed speed, fighting spirit and the team’s ability to adapt to constantly changing track conditions. 💪

Now, eyes forward: next stop, the KZ World Championship in Le Mans, followed by the Italian Championship. Let’s keep pushing! 🇮🇹

🇮🇹 ACI Karting Italian Championship | Round 4 – Val Vibrata

A weekend of mixed emotions for the EKS Racing Team, with encouraging progress in KZ2 and a challenging race in OKNJ.

In OKNJ, Gioele Carrer showed great determination throughout the weekend. After a difficult qualifying session and an unfortunate retirement in Heat 2 following a first-lap incident, he fought back with strong recoveries, including an excellent P5 in the Prefinal. Starting only P18 in the Final due to accumulated penalties, Gioele crossed the line in P13. The result doesn't reflect either his pace or the team's true potential, but we leave Val Vibrata still holding a place on the overall championship podium and ready to fight until the very last round in Viterbo.

In KZ2, Moritz Ebner confirmed the progress made together with Modena Engines Modena Engines in the development of our KZ package. A promising P6 in qualifying, consistent top-10 finishes in the heats, and an outstanding P2 in the rain-soaked Prefinal highlighted the pace shown throughout the weekend. A hard-fought Final on a drying track, with several racing incidents, saw Moritz finish P7—a result that gives us great confidence ahead of the FIA Karting World Championship in Le Mans and the final round of the Italian Championship.

WSK PODIUM FOR IN OKNJ 🏆

Another strong weekend for , who secured a well-deserved podium finish in the WSK OKNJ category! 💪

After qualifying in P6, Gioele made consistent progress throughout the heats, finishing P2, P5, and P4 to put himself in contention for the podium. An unfortunate Prefinal dropped him to P9, but he bounced back in style when it mattered most.

Starting from P6 on the Final grid, Gioele stormed into P2 within the opening corners and delivered an outstanding drive, holding the position all the way to the chequered flag after 15 flawless laps.

This result is another important milestone for both our driver and the team, confirming once again the competitiveness of our chassis in every condition, on every circuit, and with every tyre compound.
