Ciao a tutti, è con enorme entusiasmo che vi presento un progetto che ho in mente da diverso tempo.
Da anni colleziono e mi diletto a modificare e personalizzare modellini per me e per voi, per colmare i vuoti che i grandi marchi lasciano nei loro cataloghi, ma soprattutto nelle nostre vetrine. Ora voglio fare il passo successivo e capire se, con il vostro aiuto, questo sogno può diventare realtà!

Vado subito al dunque: mi piacerebbe dare vita a un nuovo marchio dedicato principalmente ai modelli da rally in scala 1/18, focalizzato su soggetti non banali, livree storiche e su quel motorsport a ruote coperte che noi appassionati amiamo visceralmente, ma che spesso viene ignorato.

Lo scopo è creare esattamente quei pezzi che oggi mancano, ma che vorremmo assolutamente aggiungere alle nostre collezioni.

Vi invito a rispondere al questionario (trovate i link per la versione italiana e inglese nel post qui sotto). Vi ruberà solo 2 minuti, ma sarà fondamentale per capire se avete voglia di vedere questo progetto sugli scaffali e per indirizzare subito le scelte sulle auto che sognate di più.

È un percorso che vorrei costruire insieme a voi, per cui vi raccomando di compilarlo appena potete: il form rimarrà online per un mese e periodicamente ve lo ricorderò 😉.

Hi everyone! It is with great excitement that I present a project I’ve been planning for quite some time.
For years, I’ve been collecting and enjoying modifying and customizing scale models—both for myself and for you—to fill the gaps left by major brands in their catalogs and, more importantly, on our display shelves. Now, I want to take the next step and see if, with your help, this dream can become a reality!

Let me get straight to the point: I’d like to launch a new brand dedicated primarily to 1/18 scale rally models, focusing on unique subjects, historic liveries, and the world of closed-wheel motorsport that we enthusiasts love so passionately—yet which is often overlooked.

The goal is to create exactly those pieces that are currently missing but that we would absolutely love to add to our collections.

I invite you to fill out the survey (you’ll find links for both the Italian and English versions in the post below). It will only take two minutes of your time, but it’s crucial for gauging interest in seeing this project come to life and for helping me prioritize the cars you dream of owning most.

Ciao a tutti, oggi vi presento un modello che si è rivelato una vera sfida... In passato avevo già realizzato una Lancer con una livrea simile, ma quella presentava un'alternanza di sezioni verniciate e motivi tartan. In questo caso, il disegno della livrea si estende su tutta la carrozzeria; la priorità era quindi garantire un allineamento perfetto del motivo in ogni punto.
Dopo un lungo lavoro di studio e rifinitura, ha finalmente preso vita questa Ford Es**rt RS1600 MK1, caratterizzata dalla splendida livrea "Gordon" portata in gara da François Duval al Boucles de Spa Historic Rally del 2012.
Come sempre, si tratta di un modello in scala 1:18 basato su una base Ixo/Altaya. È stato verniciato da zero nella tonalità di rosso corretta, dotato di decalcomanie F-Design e modificato per spostare il volante sul lato sinistro; ho inoltre aggiunto ganci di sicurezza del cofano in fotoincisione e specchietti retrovisori con finitura cromata.
Sono molto soddisfatto del risultato finale e spero piaccia anche a voi!

Hi friends, today I’m presenting a model that proved to be a real challenge... I had previously built a Lancer with a similar livery, but that one featured alternating painted sections and tartan patterns. In this case, the livery design covers the entire bodywork, so the priority was ensuring the pattern aligned perfectly across every area. After a lot of study and fine-tuning, this Ford Es**rt RS1600 MK1 was finally born, featuring the stunning "Gordon" livery driven by François Duval at the 2012 Boucles de Spa Historic Rally.
As always, it is a 1/18 scale model based on an Ixo/Altaya model. It was painted from scratch in the correct red, fitted with F-Design decals, and modified to move the steering wheel to the left-hand side; I also added photo-etched hood pins and chrome-finish side mirrors. I am very pleased with the final result and hope you like it too!

Ultimo modello completato prima delle meritate vacanze estive.
Realizzata su base Ixo 1/18, ecco a voi la Subaru Impreza WRC in livrea Pirelli con cui Kris Meeke corse nel campionato irlandese nel lontano 2007.
Come sempre verniciatura e decals by F-Design by Francesco Arena.
Particolare lavoro ha richiesto la verniciatura dell'ala posteriore, metà gialla e metà nera, con un attenta mascheratura tra la prima e la seconda fase.
Spero vi piaccia...

Last model completed before the well-deserved summer holidays.
Built on an Ixo 1/18 scale, here is the Pirelli-liveried Subaru Impreza WRC that Kris Meeke raced in the Irish championship way back in 2007.
As always, paint and decals by F-Design by Francesco Arena.
Special work was required for the rear wing, half yellow and half black, with careful masking between the first and second phases.

Ecco a voi un altro modello che da lunghissimo tempo era nella mia lista dei progetti da realizzare, per completare un buco nella mia collezione di auto vincitrici del rally di Montecarlo. Si perché inspiegabilmente Ixo ha completamente ignorato le versioni 2021 della Toyota Yaris WRC Plus, così ho dovuto rimediare personalmente.
Devo dire che questo progetto è stato molto impegnativo poiché a causa delle forme estreme del modello non mi è stato possibile disegnare le decals in modo tradizionale direttamente al PC, ma ho dovuto letteralmente disegnare la livrea direttamente sul modello utilizzando il nastro carta, poi scansionando i vari pezzi ed infine disegnandoci sopra... Un processo lungo e complesso che però mi ha permesso di ottenere un risultato perfetto alla prima bozza.
Per cui vi presento con grande orgoglio, come sempre in scala 1/18, la Toyota Yaris WRC Plus guidata ala successo da Seb Ogier al rally di Montecarlo 2021, su base Ixo.
Ringrazio Llanta13Models per gli spettacolari cerchi realizzati appositamente per questo modello e che lo rendono ancora più bello, specie dopo aver provveduto ad un deciso abbassamento dell'assetto e aver sostituito i freni originali con un set in metallo fotoinciso.

Here's another model that's been on my bucket list for a very long time, to fill a gap in my collection of Monte Carlo Rally-winning cars. Inexplicably, Ixo completely ignored the 2021 versions of the Toyota Yaris WRC Plus, so I had to fix it myself.
I must say this project was very challenging because, due to the model's extreme shapes, I couldn't draw the decals traditionally directly on the computer. I had to literally draw the livery directly on the model using masking tape, then scanning the various pieces, and finally drawing over them... A long and complex process, but one that allowed me to achieve a perfect result on the first draft.
So I proudly present to you, as always in 1/18 scale, the Toyota Yaris WRC Plus driven to victory by Seb Ogier at the 2021 Monte Carlo Rally, based on an Ixo.
I thank Llanta13Models for the spectacular wheels made specifically for this model and which make it even more beautiful, especially after having significantly lowered the ride height and replaced the original brakes with a photo-etched metal set.

Nonostante il caldo asfissiante, continua l'attività in carrozzeria, con tanti modelli attualmente in preparazione.
Oggi è giunto il momento di presentarvi una vettura contemporanea che ha lanciato la sfida al dominio della categoria Rally2, ovvero la grintosa Toyota Yaris GR Rally2 nella versione schierata nel 2024 dal team Toyota Gazoo Racing Italy e vincitrice del rally di Sanremo con l'inossidabile Giandomenico Basso.
Sapete che mi piacciono le livree semplici e comunicative e questa secondo me ha sempre spaccato...
Realizzata su base Ixo ho eliminato completamente la livrea originale benché fosse molto simile a questa, ma le piccole differenze nella disposizione dei loghi GR mi ha fatto scegliere di realizzare un kit di decals completo.
Completano il nuovo look i bellissimi cerchi Speedline Turini e le ruote asfalto di Llanta13Models.

Despite the stifling heat, work continues at the body shop, with many models currently in preparation.
Today, it's time to present a contemporary car that has challenged the Rally2 category: the aggressive Toyota Yaris GR Rally2, in the version fielded in 2024 by Toyota Gazoo Racing Italy and winner of the Sanremo Rally with the tireless Giandomenico Basso.
You know I like simple, expressive liveries, and this one has always been a hit in my opinion...
Built on an Ixo base, I completely eliminated the original livery, even though it was very similar, but the small differences in the arrangement of the GR logos led me to create a complete decal kit.
The beautiful Speedline Turini rims and asphalt wheels from Llanta13Models complete the new look.

Una nuova Lancia Delta esce dalla carrozzeria con un aspetto totalmente rinnovato. In questo caso vi presento su base Mondomotors/Sunstar questa versione HF Integrale 8v che vinse il Rally Montecarlo 1989 con Miki Biasion alla guida.
Il modello mi è arrivato già con una parziale elaborazione da parte del proprietario, che aveva verniciato gli interni e aggiunto alcuni dettagli sulle griglie del paraurti anteriore ed il tappo carburante fotoinciso.
La trasformazione del modello è stata completata con il set di decals Martini mancante nel modello originale, l'aggiornamento degli interni con aggiunta di kevlar su pavimento, coperchio batteria e schienale sedili, cinture in stoffa con fotoincisioni, cablaggi batteria e sistema di estintori e pedaliera in metallo.
All'esterno poi ho aggiunto i ganci fotoincisi, un set di cerchi Speedline scomponibili di produzione F-Design by Francesco Arena con ventoloni all'anteriore, assetto ribassato, nuovo tubo di scarico in metallo, para spruzzi posteriori realistici e slitta sotto motore in metallo.
Il risultato finale è decisamente accattivante e rende il modello degno di stare a fianco dei marchi più blasonati.

A new Lancia Delta emerges from the body shop with a completely new look. In this case, I present to you this Mondomotors/Sunstar-based HF Integrale 8v version that won the 1989 Monte Carlo Rally with Miki Biasion at the wheel.
The model arrived with a partial makeover by the owner, who painted the interior and added some details to the front bumper grilles and the photo-etched fuel cap.
The model's transformation was completed with the Martini decal set missing from the original model, an interior update with the addition of Kevlar on the floor, battery cover, and seat backs, photo-etched fabric seatbelts, battery wiring, and fire extinguisher system, and metal pedals.
On the exterior, I added photo-etched hooks, a set of Speedline wheels produced by F-Design by Francesco Arena with front brake fans, a lowered suspension, a new metal exhaust pipe, realistic rear mud flaps, and a metal engine skid plate.
The final result is truly eye-catching and makes the model worthy of standing alongside the most prestigious brands.

Ciao amici, ecco a voi l'ultima creatura uscita dalla carrozzeria di F-Design.
Un transkit su base Altaya in scala 1/18 della bellissima Peugeot 307 WRC in livrea Expert che fu portata in gara al Rally Montecarlo 2006 da Henning Solberg.
Il kit comprende numeri e tabelle specifiche del rally e decals per gli pneumatici, in abbinamento a cerchi OZ e pneumatici di Llanta13Models. Infine ho abbassato l'assetto per adattare meglio il modello alle specifiche del rally, poiché originariamente nasce con assetto da terra. Una modifica di dettaglio che però esalta in modo eccezionale anche un modello semplice come questo, spero vi piaccia.

Hello friends, here's the latest creation from F-Design.
A 1/18 scale Altaya-based transkit of the beautiful Peugeot 307 WRC in Expert livery, which was driven in the 2006 Monte Carlo Rally by Henning Solberg.
The kit includes rally-specific numbers and plates and the tires logos, paired with OZ rims and Llanta13Models tires. Finally I lowered the ride height to better adapt the model to the rally specifications, since it was originally built with a gravel set-up.A simple modification that, however, exceptionally enhances even a simple model like this, I hope you like it.

Iniziamo il nuovo anno con una bellissima MG Metro 6R4, vettura che ha ancora un grandissimo seguito in UK, un po' come in Italia la Delta S4.
Basata su un modello Sunstar in scala 1/18, vi presento questa elegantissima livrea Autoplas su base rossa che ha animato il Challenge Metro 6R4 che si correva in UK negli anni 80.
Come al solito la verniciatura é stata fatta ad aerografo e dopo l'applicazione delle decals appositamente disegnate, ho provveduto alla verniciatura trasparente 2k di StreetBlisters.
Le ruote Compomotive sono state invece fornite dal fortunato proprietario che tra poco la potrà esporre nella sua collezione.

We're kicking off the new year with a beautiful MG Metro 6R4, a car that still enjoys a huge following in the UK, much like the Delta S4 does in Italy.
Based on a 1/18th scale Sunstar model, I present this elegant Autoplas livery on a red base that graced the Challenge Metro 6R4 race held in the UK in the 80s.
As usual, the paint job was airbrushed, and after applying the specially designed decals, I finished it with a 2K clear coat by StreetBlisters.
The Compomotive wheels were supplied by the lucky owner, who will soon be able to display it in his collection.

È passato un altro anno all'insegna del modellismo, che abbiamo trascorso insieme, come sempre cercando di dare sempre il massimo. Un anno caratterizzato da una scarsa produzione da parte mia (solo 9 progetti), anche a causa del trasloco che mi ha tenuto forzatamente fermo per quasi 3 mesi.
Il proposito per il nuovo anno è quello di cercare di recuperare il tempo perso, anche facendo affidamento sulla nuova attrezzatura che ho comprato nel corso dell'anno, con lo scopo di migliorare ancora la qualità e velocizzare la realizzazione di ogni progetto.
Dunque, il resoconto finale dice 9 progetti e quasi 120 kit di decals realizzati per soddisfare le vostre esigenze, in definitiva direi comunque non male!!!

Another year of modeling has passed, which we spent together, as always trying to give our best. A year marked by low production on my part (only 9 projects), partly due to the move that forced me to stop working for almost 3 months.
My New Year's resolution is to try to make up for lost time, also relying on the new equipment I purchased during the year, with the aim of further improving the quality and speeding up the completion of each project.
So, the final report says 9 projects and almost 120 decal kits made to meet your needs, all in all, I'd say not bad anyway!!!
