Euro Lambretta 2026 - Austria

On our way home after a great weekend with top friends all over and very thankful to the Lambretta Coub Austria and all the people involved to put on it the best Euro Lambrettas.

A touch of art by our Ringo Weird paint to decorate this SH333 project based on a ‘58 LI150 S1 framebreather, not a random color choice by the owner as this combination is what his favorite daughter had in mind. Infact ‘Martellina67’ it’s a tribute to her, which means ‘Little hammer lady’ (….well not really to be translated) but of course the Sledgehammer engine has the main part on it.

The project is coming along nicely having been cleaned and polished all over then taken to the pinstripe artist before getting rebuilt.

Now the bespoke anodized parts have arrived the ‘rustoration’ is taking shape and the building is nearly to the end….well not very !!!!
A nice original Vespa GS toolbox has been properly shaped and now being painted. The Giuliari slopeback seat with the purple crossing stitching covered by Nisa add the sport look to a classic evergreen Lambretta.

It was very exciting to take part at the official exhibition of the Tokyo 70 Vega at the ‘Lambretta Club Musuem’ in Capaccio - Paestum. It was very emotional to be face to face of one of the 2 in existence, committed by Bertone and shown at the Tokyo Motor Show 1970 in Japan.
Very suggestive the selection of fotos of the paint decoration from the Vittorio Tessera archives, who togheter with Giampiero Cola they made a very special day for all of the Lambrettisti that came to admire it and listen to all the stories behind this true ‘space age’ icon.
